7 London Music Festivals You need To Attend

It’s finally festival season! We’re more than ready to be getting our festival outfits and glitter ready, but where should you be wearing them this summer? Here’s a list of the best London music festivals to be attending this summer.

Gala Festival

Start your festival season in the upcoming May Bank holiday by attending Gala Festival. Located in Peckham Rye park, spend 27th May dancing to some of house, disco and good vibe party music. This festival also has a strong focus on good street food and craft beers to keep you fuelled to party all day long!

Line up: Derrick Carter, Midland, Horse Meat Disco, Mr Scruff, Greg Wilson, Norman Jay MBE

Wireless Festival

Returning for another year at Finsbury Park is Wireless Festival. From 6th – 8th July you’ll be able to see all your favourite Hip Hop and R&B acts, the line up is so good that tickets have sold out already.

Line Up: Stormzy, J Cole, DJ Khaled And Friends, Wiley, Giggs, Wretch 32, Rick Ross, PartyNextDoor, J Hus, Cardi B,

Lovebox

After spending 13 years in Victoria Park, Lovebox festival is moving south down to Gunnersbury Park, but will still be delivering the high standard of music that it’s always offered. If you’re looking for a festival with a real mix of music, this is the one to go to, as it’s got everything from DJ’s to pop to indie music to cater to your needs. You’ve got to check out these London music festivals.

Line up: Skepta, Childish Gambino, SZA, Anderson Paak, DAVE, Jacob Banks, Big Boi, Mura Masa, Jon Hopkins, Vince Staples, N*E*R*D

Tickets (Friday and Saturday): £125

When: 13th – 14th July

Citadel Festival

You’ve got tickets to Lovebox but you know you want to keep the festival vibes going till Sunday? Grab a ticket to the chilled out Citadel festival on 15th July. It’s also hosted in Gunnersbury Park, but you’ll be attending a festival with a more chilled vibe to fit that Sunday mood. Be treated to a mix of indie and alternative music to finish off your weekend of madness.

Line up: Tame Impala, Leon Bridges, The Horrors, Chvrches, Goat, Fat White Family.

Tickets (2nd release): £49.50

Elrow Town

If you really want to go all out on your festival outfit, Elrow Town is definitely the place to showcase it. You’ve got the choice of two themes, ‘Sambodromo do Brazil’ and ‘Psychedelic Trip’ to inspire your fashion creativity, and be prepared to enter a world of confetti, serious grooves and chickens. Step out of the real world and enter Elrow Town in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, but be quick as Saturday tickets have already sold out!

Line up: Fat Boy Slim, Paul Kalkbrenner, Richy Ahmed, Steve Lawler.

Tickets (Sunday): £42.50

When: 18th – 19th August

Field Day Festival

Arguably one of the best London music festivals, Field Day has returned to the new location of Brockwell Park, now giving south London the opportunity to host some of the best alternative acts in music. Come together to enjoy great music in a space that has brought the friendly countryside mentality within the city.

Mighty Hoopla

For a celebration of London’s alternative club culture, Mighty Hoopla Festival is here to present some fun pop music. With the stages being hosted by Sink the Pink and Guilty Pleasures, you’ll be guaranteed a colourful and fun time at this day festival in Brockwell Park. A place where you can be happy and carefree, Mighty Hoopla is a celebration of life.

Line up: TLC, Lily Allen, Andro, B*witched, Belinda Carlisle, Betty Who, MNEK, Melanie C

When: 3rd June
