If you’re a fellow curly-hair-haver then you’ll understand the struggle of coming up with new curly hairstyles. It involves a lot of hair washing math and creativity. However, we don’t always have the time when we’re on the go living out our busy lifestyle. So, I’ve found some of the coolest curly hairstyles out there right now and listed them all here for you to try. You can thank me later – for now, get reading!
This is probably one of the best curly hairstyles to play around with when the sun comes out and the heat along with it. It can be quite the challenge to have nice-looking curls in the summer when your hair gets drier but all you need is a funky scarf and you’ll be good to go.
To replicate this look, part your curls in two, take a layer from the top and dutch braid it. Next, create two twists with another small section from underneath. Then take all four parts you have created up with the rest of your hair to form a bun. If you’re lucky enough to have thick baby hairs, slick them down with some edge gel.
This is one of the easiest curly hairstyles. All you need to do is part the front half of your hair in two sections to form a middle parting. Leave out any curls you’d like to frame your face and twist the remaining sections, one at a time, and secure with hair bands. Easy as pie!
If you prefer curly hairstyles with a side part, this is the perfect one for you especially if you’re always tucking the smaller section behind your ear. To do this hairstyle, after side parting your hair, split the front section on the smaller side into three smaller vertical parts. Twist one section and secure with an elastic and do the same to the others adding in the hair as you go along.
Now, this is one of the harder curly hairstyles because it involves a lot of braids and a lot of patience. Part your hair in four sections and start dutch braiding them over your head until you reach just below your ear and put the remaining hair into a bun. You can buy hair jewellery like this online and you basically just squeeze them to fit your braids.
Next up is another one to add to your list of easy curly hairstyles. Really, it’s just your ordinary bun but the trick is to leave your longest curls out to frame your face.
This next curly hairstyle is inspired by Khloe Kardashian’s infamous half up half down look. This is one of the most playful curly hairstyles because you can basically just play around with braids, big or small to add something special to this otherwise ordinary look.
The key to this next one is again leaving out some curls to frame your face. Then, when wrapping the top section of your hair into a bun, be as relaxed with it as possible. Don’t worry, you can make sure it’s secure with bobby pins, but this way it’ll look more effortless.
This is one of the best curly hairstyles we’ve seen that would be perfect for festivals. To keep your hair out of your face but still look incredible. All it takes is two dutch braids with a centre part. Take the braids to the nape of your neck and tie with hair bands. Then take a chunk of hair from underneath and wrap it around where you placed the hair band for a quirkier look!
Finally, we have this curly hairstyle which is to just rock your hair down. No matter what ‘hair day’ you’re on (girl’s you get it), a little extra volume will never hurt anyone.
