Here’s 8 Reasons Why You Should Use Coconut Oil For Tanning

Is coconut oil good for tanning? HELL YEAH it is! Coconut oil for tanning has wonderful benefits like keeping your skin moisturized with natural ingredients. It also makes you tan quicker than regular tanning oils. So go ahead and stock up on coconut oil for the summer, just remember this does not provide any SPF.

It’s Super-Hydrating!

Coconut oil is super-hydrating for your skin, and so it’s great for tanning! Your skin needs some extra TLC when you’ve been bathing in the sun all day. Keeping your skin hydrated keeps your tan!

It’s Chemical Freeeeee

Whilst using sunscreen is a no brainer, you might be worried about the potential ingredients it includes, like parabens and solvents which can irritate the skin. Coconut oil doesn’t have any of these chemicals, and is much more healthy for your skin.

It Helps Absorb Vitamin D

By using coconut oil during tanning, you’re skin will drink in the sun’s natural vitamin D! That’s right, it helps you get that bronzed look you’re after!

Soothes Irritations

If you’ve got a tad bit of prickly heat, or even sunburned, coconut oil will sooth the irritation! It’s a great after sun replacement!

It Guards Against Infections

It’s well known antimicrobial and anti fungal properties helps combat any germs or harmful elements that try to wreck your skin. This is likely to happen whilst at the pool or on the beach amongst other people. Keep your skin protected by preventing this!

Develops A Protection Layer

Using coconut oil alongside another form of sun protection creates a layer, which reflects some of the UV rays off your skin. Basically it will stop you from burning! Because we all hate that, ouch.

The Shiny Look

Exposure to sun can make your skin darker and duller. But you need it to look darker and fuller! Full of life. Coconut oil will keep your skin looking shiny and smooth, whilst keeping your glow even weeks after your holiday!
