Hair serums are what transforms hair from dull and dry to smooth and silky. Trouble is, if you have particularly thin hair like me, they often leave it oily and greasy. Which means we have to wash and blow-dry it more, leading to broken and damaged hair! So, I went on the hunt for best hair serum products that actually work and don’t cause a greasy mess. From me to you, here’s what I found:
This magical serum protects and repairs damaged hair whilst eliminated frizz. It’s silky texture works great on thin hair and you only need a pea-sized amount in the palm of your hand to work in to the ends of your hair. The formula lightly coats the hair without make it appear oily and it lasts a long time too. Affordable and light, I found John Freida’s Frizz Ease to the best serum of the bunch!
This is a little more indulgent, costing around £23 but it is well worth the hefty price tag. Kérastase is renowned for his split-ending repairing formula and there’s reason why. It truly works folks. If like me, you’re a bit too heavy handed with the straightening iron, this product is great for repairing those frazzled ends.
With a much more affordable price tag, GHD’s Smooth and Finish serum comes in at number 3. Thin hair can often become dry and crisp but this product adds a glossy shine without appearing like you last had a shower 2 weeks ago! It works great after straightening or curling.
The cheapest one on the list by far and it goes a long way. This product is great for fly aways and keeping whispy hair in place while providing a healthy glow. Only a small amount fingered through the ends of the hair will suffice with this one.
Biosilk’s Silk Therapy provides a replenishing treatment to dull, worn-out hair. Apply this product before styling to prevent split-ends and frizz. It gives a glistening shine to hair without the oil and grease!
