The Beauty Uses For Coconut Oil That Will Change Your Life

Coconut oil has become a super trendy product in the last couple of years, but unlike many things that become fashionable, coconut oil actually has some really amazing properties. There’s not much that coconut oil can’t be used for, and if something happened where we could only pick one product to use for beauty, it would definitely be this. You might already be a coconut oil lover, or a complete newbie to the stuff, whatever your experience with it, you need to keep on reading to find out some beauty uses for coconut oil that will blow your mind.

Make up remover

The days of face wipes are in the past, as coconut oil is all you need now to remove even waterproof mascara. Just apply straight to your face like an oil cleanser, then wash away for a beautifully clean face. This is definitely one of the best beauty uses for coconut oil!

Teeth whitening

Yes, coconut oil can whiten your teeth. It can also freshen breath, alleviate headaches, strengthen teeth and supposedly it can fix a hangover. This is all possible through a method called oil pulling, where you put tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth, swish it around for about 20 minutes, rinse, then brush your teeth as normal. Do this up at least five times a week and you should soon have sparkling white teeth!

Body Moisturiser

Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids which make it fantastic for moisturising your skin. It absorbs quickly, and makes your skin look super glowy and dewy, making you look healthier than ever.

Face Moisturiser

There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to use it for your face too! To give your face a beautiful dewy glow, use it under make up as moisturising primer.

Shaving Balm

Get a super close shave while giving your legs that extra moisture it deserves, just slaver onto your legs and shave away!

Lip Balm

I think you’ve got the idea, you can use coconut oil to moisturise everywhere. Slap some coconut oil onto your dry chapped lips to instantly bring back moisture, and give them a shiny lip gloss finish

Eyelash Growth Serum

Those wonderful fatty acids are amazing for helping stimulate hair growth, so it makes the perfect base for an eyelash growth serum. Mix a tablespoon of coconut oil, with a drop of lemon essential oil and a drop of lavender oil and apply to your lash line with a cotton bud.

Dandruff Treatment

So it’s been mentioned that it’s super moisturising…why not use it on a dry scalp to solve any dandruff problem. Apply at night before you got to bed, massage into the roots and wash it out in the morning. This will also stimulate hair growth during the night.

Deep Conditioning Oil Treatment

Use coconut oil as simply but effective leave in conditioner. Just run through the ends of wet hair and be prepared to be amazed at how soft your hair will be when it dries.

Frizz Tamer

You can also use coconut on dry hair! If you’ve got unruly frizz or annoying flyaways, rub some coconut oil between your hands to warm it up, then rub over your hair to have wonderfully soft, smooth and shiny hair.
