The All Season Jackets That You Won’t Have To Store In Your Closet

In the unpredictable UK weather, a good jacket is your best friend. But sometimes it’s difficult to decide which jackets to wear for which season, and no one wants to head out in a thick winter jacket only for the weather to turn ten degrees warmer. Only one thing to do: choose good all season jackets you can wear anytime. Here’s a few of the best picks out there for all season jackets that you won’t have to hide away in your closet when the weather gets warmer.

1. Classic Denim Jacket

Everyone needs a classic denim jacket. Denim jackets are lightweight enough to rock in the summer, but also sturdy enough to use as a layering piece in the colder months. The best part is that they go with everything, and add an effortless vibe to any outfit.

2. Leather Biker Jacket

A classic black leather (or faux leather) jacket is a must have jacket as it’s perfect for transitioning through all seasons. It’s perfect for the spring and fall, but can also be used under larger coats in the winter time. When summer comes around, you can still get away with wearing leather jackets at night to add some edge to any outfit.

3. Lightweight Parka

If you live in a country with unpredictable weather, a lightweight parka is the way to go. This is breezy enough to style in warmer months, but will help keep you warm (and dry) in the colder months. This is also much more water resistant than a regular hoodie.

4. Long Trench Coat

Every French girl has a trench coat in her wardrobe, and with good reason. Trench coats are a great jacket for all seasons. They’re stylish, warm, and will even help protect you against the rain. Make sure you have one of these in your closet!

5. Lightweight Puffer Jacket

While puffer jackets may seem to be reserved for really cold weather, some lighter versions actually work for all seasons. This will definitely keep you warm and protect you against all the elements in the colder months. When it gets warmer, simply throw your puffer over a t-shirt and you’re good to go.

6. Chunky Knit Cardigan

Okay, so this is not exactly a jacket, but hear me out. Huge chunky cardigans are the perfect layering piece for all seasons. When it’s warm out, they’ll work perfectly over t-shirts and tank tops. In the colder months, they’ll still look super cute layered under big coats.

7. Classic Bomber Jacket

A bomber jacket is a great all season piece whether it’s warm and sunny or rainy and windy. These are also great for travel! If you don’t already have a bomber jacket in your closet it’s a purchase you definitely won’t regret.

8. Long Slouchy Coat

A long duster coat in a light wool material will take you through almost every season. This is also a dressier option that will work for more formal events. In the colder months, simply layer this jacket over a chunky sweater and a smaller jacket (such as a leather jacket) for extra warmth.

9. Shell Jacket

A shell jacket is like the sporty cousin of the classic windbreaker. Like its name suggests, this jacket is the perfect protective shell for any season. This is especially great for unpredictable spring and summer months where it’s quite warm but there are chances of wind and rain.

10. Oversized Blazer

Make your oversized blazer work double duty by using it as a jacket! This is not a piece that is just reserved for formal wear. Blazers can work as great layering pieces in warmer months, and can be worn under larger coats during the colder seasons — don’t hide them away in your closet!
