Staple Pieces You Must Have In Your Wardrobe

Any girl who loves clothes and shopping as much as I do knows that we often tend to buy pieces that we don’t need and probably won’t make much use of. To make shopping for essentials a little easier,  put together a compilation of the must-haves you need in your wardrobe.

A Plain Black Turtleneck

Turtlenecks can be paired with SO many different outfit variations. They can be tucked into a pair of mom jeans, worn under a slip dress, worn with a vintage tee overtop, paired with a corduroy skirt. Having at least one turtleneck in your wardrobe is a must, or else you miss out on the chance to serve so many looks.

Non-Ripped Blue Jeans

It is crucial that everyone owns at least one pair of non-ripped jeans. This is because in a more “formal” setting you want to ensure that you’re wearing appropriate clothes. In addition, venues and clubs sometimes require that you don’t have rips in your pants, and therefore you’re always on the safe side for owning appropriate pieces. It’s also generally a benefit to have versatile options – so, if you own a ripped pair of jeans, it’s beneficial that you have the option of non-ripped as well.

Ripped Black Jeans

Ripped black jeans can match just about any shirt, shoe, jacket etc. These pants can turn a casual outfit into something that looks as though it required more effort than it actually did. I personally could not live without my ripped black jeans, and always have to purchase new ones as I wear them so much that they begin to fade! They’re awesome because you can wear them at so many different occasions – school, parties, bars, etc.

Mom/ Boyfriend Jeans

Cause you can never have too many jeans.

Trousers

For business purposes or party occasions, no matter what kind of gal you are, you always need a pair of trousers. Black trousers are probably what will be most beneficial, but checkered/print pants are always fun too.

An Oversized Jacket

This is a vague one, but an oversized jacket is always great to have in your wardrobe as it can spice up so many more outfits than you would think. These come in many forms, and the choice is completely up to you of what you think you will make the most use out of. Leather, denim, teddy coats – oversized jackets give a fit a vintage feel, while keeping you both warm and fashionable!

A White Tee

As obvious as it sounds, a white tee is an absolute must-have… do I even need to explain?

Sneakers

A good pair of sneakers is essential. I personally live in my old-school Vans, I wear them during every season (yes, even the winter). Casual shoes such as Adidas Stan Smiths, Converse, Vans, Nikes, can all be statements in so many outfits. It’s especially trendy wearing white sneakers, for example, with tube socks in the summer season. This makes outfits casual yet chic.

Booties

Boots are a must for the winter, spring, and fall time. It’s no secret that boots can sometimes be absolutely hideous, making winter fashion no fun. I personally love booties such as combat boots or Chelsea boots because they can be added to your wardrobe for all four seasons! A pair of black Chelsea boots can survive the snow yet can also be worn with a dress, romper, or shorts in warmer weather.

A Pair of Heels

Because you can’t be a party girl without a little heel.
