10 Ways To Pamper Yourself In Essex

Good self-care can prevent, delay, or reduce most health problems, including mental health issues. It is important to wind down and take time to do things that make you happy once in a while. Here are 10 ways to treat yourself in Essex!

1. A spa day: Lifehouse Spa and Hotel.

Located in Thorpe-Le-Soken, Essex, Lifehouse Spa and Hotel has been given a 4 star rating. One of the most popular spa day packages is the ‘pamper and prosecco’. This package is perfect for a day of ultimate relaxation. Prices range from £104pp Monday to Friday or £154pp Saturday and Sunday. Included in the package is a 50 minute Lifehouse Swedish Massage or Decleor/Clarins Facial, a glass of prosecco, full use of spa facilities, gym & gardens, free use of towels & bathrobes, Lifehouse flip flops to take home and a buffet lunch.

2. Movie marathon.

Create the cinema experience at home and cuddle up to a loved one in a dark room with popcorn and a couple of good films. Taking the time to chill out and be absorbed into a good film can really ease stress.

3. Retail therapy.

With shopping centres such as Intu Lakeside, Higher Chelmer and Braintree Freeport to choose from, some retail therapy is a sure way to pamper yourself.

4.  Eating out.

There are so many nice restaurants around Essex including La Bicicletta, Brentwood, The Magic Mushroom, Billericay and Vita Bella Restaurant to name a few. Getting dressed up for a dinner out can end the day on a high. Plus, there are no dirty dishes to clean either!

5. Get a Vajazzle.

When in Essex, do as Essexians do. The famous Amy Child’s Salon in Brentwood is the place to go for the vajazzle. When TOWIE debuted, the series kicked off a certain amount of fascination with the glamourous world of fake tans and vajazzling. A vajazzle adorns the pubic area of a woman with crystals, glitter and/or other decoration.

6. Have your nails done.

Take a trip down to the ladies at Glow Beauty, Cranham, or to the 5 star rated Best Nails, and treat your paws to some TLC. You’ll be surprised how much a fresh manicure and pedicure can make you feel a whole lot better.

7. Girls night in.

Grab your closest girls, some wine, snacks and some homemade face masks, and you are all set for an evening of laughter and pampering.

9. Have an early night.

After a hard week of working and/or university, an early night and a lie in is just what the doctor ordered to have you feeling refreshed the next day.

10. Take a trip to the hairdressers.

The Uppercut Hair Group in Upminster and Hornchurch have received 4.8/5 stars. A new hair style can make anyone feels good!
