10 Things To Do Before You’re 25

Before you’re 25 and are officially 1/4 of a century, you will inevitably go through a lot of experiences in your life. We all have different targets and come from different places. But there are certain things that you absolutely need to do before 25. Read his article to get a few ideas!

1. Go to Paris

Ah, Paris! The city of love, the city of lights. It might be interesting for you to book that weekend in Paris and discover the wonders of the French capital: La Seine, the museums, the cafes, the food… The city is so much fun, especially in the summer.

2. Get a tattoo

This is obviously not a compulsory thing to do. However, if you are into it, why not do it? Just be clever when it comes to choosing the drawing, and avoid doing a sleeve from the first sitting. Nice souvenir from your younger days. And of course, you should get the first one before you’re 25, but the others can come after!

3. Dye your hair

This is fun! You probably already did it… changing your look is such a great thing to do. When you grow up you establish your identity and project the perception you have of yourself onto others. Bleaching your hair is maybe too radical for the first time, but think about it!

4. Get a degree

Obviously life does not stop at 25- hopefully. Invest in your future, and prepare. Bachelors or a Masters degree. The key to owning your life is to learn something new every day, staying curious and communicating. What do you think: is it better to work 3 to 5 years like a lion or 50 like a sheep? Your call…

5. Travel alone

Before settling into anything serious with your boyfriend, having kids, getting married, having a long and prosperous career and multitasking, enjoy some time alone and go travel! To really get the benefit of real travelling, explore the world by yourself and learn more about your limits and on how to get out of tricky situations.

6. Get a job abroad

It is a profitable experience: you get to travel, to earn money AND live in another country. Often a life-changing experience both professionally and personally, you may encounter some never thought of challenges. Not to mention, it will look great on your CV.

7. Go To A Music Festival

Of all the festivals in the whole world- Glastonbury offers the ultimate experience. Messy, Rock ‘n’ Roll and completely out of control, dive into the crazy world of festivals made in Britain. Going to a music festival is an unforgettable experience.

8. Watch Marilyn Monroe Films

Marilyn Monroe is an ambiguous personality- many think of her with prejudice: she is either a depressed prostitute or a drug addict. No, no, no. She dreamed of becoming a true artist like her idol Jean Harlow, but unfortunately, she left behind her the image of the superficial ‘dumb blond’. More complex than that, her literary skills and her artistic abilities are definitely something to learn from/to check out. It’s a good excuse to discover more about old Hollywood. Again, if you just think that it’s a waste of time, you can always do something else like learning a new language.

9. Go to Disney with your (boy)friend

If you are lucky enough to share your life with a boyfriend, you have to go to Disney. Eat ice cream, hold hands, and give into all the cliches of the romantic couple. Why not? Just be cheesy for 1 day!

10. Quit The Job You Hate

Whilst you’re young, you can -and you should- take risks, especially in your professional life. It’s the right time to experiment to discover what kind of career you would like to have, and quit the jobs you think are just a waste of time. Just make sure to do it before you’re 25!
