The 5 Most Interesting Places To Eat In Liverpool

Liverpool is a vibrant and lively city, full of interesting places and people. If you’re visiting for the day, a city break or are moving to the city for university, here is a list of five of the most interesting places to eat in Liverpool that we think you should visit!

Wahaca

24 College Lane

Inspired by markets and street food in Mexico, at the heart of Wahaca’s menu is small plates with lots of flavour. Their interesting menu includes so many choices you’ll be tempted to try everything; tacos, tostadas, quesadillas and also a range of bigger plates if you fancy one meal rather than a selection of small plates.

The menu also features seasonal specials, so there’ll always be something new on the menu, no matter what time of year you visit. The décor is interesting and individual, and the Liverpool branch also features a rooftop terrace cocktail bar, which is the perfect spot to grab something to eat and a margarita through those warmer summer months.

Alma de Cuba

St Peters’ Church, Seel Street

Alma de Cuba is set in a very interesting location as the restaurant is a conversion of the former St. Peters’ Catholic Church in Liverpool’s Seel Street. The old and traditional location is given a new lease of life by the lively spirit of this restaurant and bar.

The food available here reflects the mix of Cuban, Hispanic and Latin American influences of the bar. The price point would make it the perfect place to go for a special occasion or important date.

Crazy Pedros

25 Parr St, Ropewalks

Crazy Pedros is definitely interesting, but a fun and unique place to eat if you’re looking for something a little more casual.  Their interesting pizza creations and cocktails are well known in Liverpool for being amazing. This bar is open and serving until 4 am, so it’s the perfect spot to visit if you fancy a late-night snack.

The pizza menu includes creations that will suit everyone, including the KFC pizza, Fried Chicken + Waffle pizza and the Blueberry Hill pizza.

The graffiti on the walls of the roof terrace, window art and the colourful interior will make for some fun and interesting pictures for your Instagram grid. Even the bathroom sinks at Crazy Pedros are vibrant and interesting!

The Florist

Hardman Street

Newly open this April, The Florist is a truly beautiful location to go for lunch with your girls. The interesting flower displays and décor make it very instagrammable, and the food menu has some interesting and beautiful dishes that are perfect if you’re looking for luxury food that is a little bit unusual.

The Egg Cafe

Bold Street

Bold Street is well known for being a lively hotspot for independent and interesting shops, cafes and restaurants in Liverpool. It’s hard to miss the bright purple and orange exterior of The Egg Café!

This café is set in the loft space of an old Victorian warehouse building. This alone makes it one of the most interesting and unusual places to eat in Liverpool. As it is located in central Liverpool with interesting views, it makes this spot an ideal pick to eat out.

This vegetarian and vegan café has a delicious menu. It’s very popular with students and artists because it’s located in an independent art gallery. This gives the café a relaxing and bohemian atmosphere to work, study or relax.
