5 Signs You’re The Mum Of The Friendship Group

Every friendship group needs a mum. The girl who listens to the rest of the group’s problems and always knows the right thing to say. The girl who you can always rely on for that trusty hair bobble, or tissues if you’re crying over a boy in the club. Your friendship group mum probably won’t be the wildest of the group, and she never has drama surrounding her, but your group wouldn’t be complete without her. You know your friendship group mum really cares about you, she always knows the right thing to say and you can count on her for almost anything.

Here’s our 5 signs that you might be the mum of your friendship group.

1. You’re the most organised.

People can always count on you to be the most organised if you’re the mum of the friendship group. You’re always the one arranging the time of arrival for a night out, you’re always booking taxi’s, making sure everyone else is ready on time, and you’re never late to anything. As the friendship group mum, you always show up to events first and without fail she always has all the essentials, whether that be a packet of tissues, bobbles or lipstick in case you forgot yours. She knows all the details of where you’re going and who’s coming. You always have those hungover essentials if your friends need them too, such as comfy blankets and that trusty paracetamol for their inevitable sore heads.

2. Your friends always come to you for advice.

As the friendship group mum, your friends know they can and always will come to you for advice. You’re definitely the group’s agony aunt, your friends always come to you with their problems, and you always know the right answer, whether it’s friends, family relationships that are troubling them, or you’re probably just helping them pick which dress makes their legs look best for your next big night out.

3. You’re never the drunk mess.

As the friendship group mum, you’re a pro at knowing at never taking it too far when going out and just having a good time. When your friends have had too much to drink and are crying about a boy or their hairstyle going wrong, you can’t relate. Little things don’t matter to you on a night out, you go out to have a good time, you don’t worry about what anyone thinks or involve yourself in any drama.

4. You not-so-secretly love a night in

Wine nights in? Yes, please. As the mum of the friendship group, you love nothing more than a cosy night in with wine and a good movie. Sure you like partying, but there’s nothing better than a nice night in your pj’s, avoiding all the drama and just having a good time with your friends.

5. You’re hella protective over your friends.

As the friendship group mum who’s always in charge and dealing with drama, nights out can get tiresome. But, even though your friends annoy you sometimes, with their constant crying over that boy you don’t like, you’d still do just about anything for them. As the friendship group mum, you’re very protective over all of your friends, when somethings wrong, your motherly senses are tingling and your friends can always count on you to be there for them.

Are you the mum of your friendship group? Don’t feel ashamed if you are, even though being the mum of the friendship group means you’re a little old before your time,  you still know how to have a great time and are probably the best friend anybody could ask for.
