London definitely has its fair share of amazing bars, from cool, weird and wacky to elegant and classy to cheap and fun, but some of London’s greatest bars are its rooftop ones and we’ve chosen our favourites for you to try and love too.
Perched on the 10th floor of ME London along the Strand right by the River Thames, the view is almost as good as the cocktails. Sip on signature cocktails tailor-made by their expert bartenders as you gaze out to the Shard, London Eye, Big Ben and more of London’s top sights. Radio Rooftop also has a Mediterranean all-day menu to feast on whether that’s with your drinks on a night out, or for a delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch with stunning views. Considering as they offer so much, Radio Rooftop is more than just a rooftop bar which will have you visiting more than once to experience all that they can offer, and it’s a lot.
Perhaps the most casual pick of our rooftop bar list is Frank’s Café in Peckham. Part of the Bold Tendencies, Frank’s Café is authentic to its artistic roots which means that the rooftop still has its fair share of art installations for you to wonder at as you sip on a Negroni or your pint of choice with the London skyline as your backdrop. The bar is more than roomy considering it occupies three floors of the multi storey car park so you’ll definitely have some exploring to do as all the floors are Insta-worthy, particularly the pink stairwell which is (as you’d think) entirely pink and has had its fair share of Instagram fame.
Netil360 is aptly named considering it indeed does offer a 360 view of the London skyline, best enjoyed as the sun sets and with a glass of wine in your hand. Be warned though as the rooftop bar sits on the ninth floor. of the building with no elevator so you’ll be in for quite the climb which will all be worth it as you can reward yourself for that mini workout with a glass of wine or beer. The rooftop itself is pretty toned down and chill with wooden benches, upcycled furniture and artificial grass across the floor, but the impressive panoramic views of London is what gets this bar on the list.
Sitting on one of London’s tallest buildings is one of the cities gems, Sushisamba. The restaurant itself, with its fusion flavours of Japan, Peru and Brazil, makes it worth visiting but the bar is truly something incredible. A huge glowing orange tree stands tall in the middle of the bar on the rooftop terrace of the restaurant which is one of its biggest attractions. Being on the 38th floor of a building in central definitely has its perks and the view from Sushisamba is truly something to behold, the experience is. made even better with their expertly made creative cocktails for you to sip on as you enjoy the view.
Queen of Hoxton is probably the trendiest and most hip of all the bars on this list. Not only is it a rooftop bar but also club, terrace, live music and events venue, in summer it even hosts movie nights on its roof. They constantly have events and workshops going on so you can enjoy your delicious drinks whilst being proactive and doing a little activity on the side. It makes it a great place for a night out with a big group of friends so you can try all the quirkiness they have to offer.
