6 Lazy Girl Beauty Hacks That Will Allow You That Extra Half Hour In Bed In The Morning

We’ve all been there, running late because you slept in, still wanting another 10 minutes in bed, and not at all ready for the day ahead. Unfortunately, lazy girl beauty hacks often just mean having better organisation skills but that doesn’t mean they can’t feel like lazy hacks if you do them right! Get that extra half hour in bed in the morning with these 6 lazy girl beauty hacks.

1. Wash Your Hair The Night Before

Instead of leaving washing your hair for your future morning self for the sake of a few more episodes like so many of us do only to regret it in the morning, wash your hair before going to bed. This doesn’t have to be a task, unwind from your day by taking a long hot bath or jump in the shower quickly during the adverts. Not only will it give you extra time in the morning, but you’ll also love yourself for doing it!

2. Dry Shampoo

A beauty hack that has been going around from the start of time, dry shampoo has been every girl’s lifesaver at some point in their life. However, every girl will also know that they have an intense love/hate relationship with dry shampoo. It can dry out the hair, flatten any volume, and can have a trademark scent that will give it away immediately. Save yourself from all of this and instead swap your dry shampoo for talc, just sprinkle a small amount over the roots, rub into the scalp and go forth for the rest of the day.

3. Set Alarms Half An Hour In Advance

Get your beauty sleep by having an early night and setting your alarm half an hour earlier than you need to be awake. Now while one technically isn’t a lazy thing to do per se, but it will trick you into thinking it is. Who doesn’t love an early night? Plus by setting your alarm half an hour earlier, or however much earlier than you like, you can snooze for that half hour and still wake up on time.

4. Pick Your Outfit The Night Before

By picking your outfit the night before, you’re much more likely to pick an outfit quick and notice if the top you want to wear is still in the wash, meaning you still have time to wash it! This can be done with pretty much anything in your morning routine; making your lunch, organizing your handbag, or styling your hair which will go hand in hand with this next beauty hack.

5. Change Your Pillowcase

Most people will know by now that changing your pillowcase regularly will help to reduce acne, but by changing your pillowcase from normal cotton ones, to silk pillowcases will also keep your hair from knotting, keep your hair tamer, and more often than not, will keep your hair styled the way you went to bed with it (provided you don’t move around in your sleep too much).

6. Keep A Toothbrush and Toothpaste In Your Bag

This final one is probably my favourite on this list of beauty hacks. As gross as it may sound and as much as we all may not want to admit it, we’ve all left the house without brushing our teeth at some point, whether on purpose or by accident. By keeping a toothbrush and some toothpaste in your bag, you can brush your teeth on the go, although we do recommend finding somewhere private to do so. Eat your favourite smelly lunch without the fear of bad breath again by brushing your teeth afterwards!
