I Tested Some Hair Masks And This Is The Result

As a person who has nothing better to do with their time (just kidding, I do!!), I decided to try a few types of hair masks. Before we continue, I should tell you a little bit about my hair. It’s just below my shoulders, I’ve not dyed it in 5 months but it has been black, ginger, brown, red and something between purple and reddish. I would say I take fairly good care of it, however, as any other student out there, sometimes I happen to be on a budget and don’t feel like spending £8 on a hair mask. Hence why I decided to try a few and share with you what happened. Let’s get started:

1. Syoss Professional SalonPlex Hair Intensive Recreation Treatment

Tell me again, why did I ever think it’s a good idea to buy again a brand that’s been proven to be a complete disaster for me? I don’t know but I did it. Syoss’ hair mask is 1) expensive 2) looks good but 3) doesn’t do sh*t. Maybe it’s just me, maybe it’s Maybelline, but no matter what I try, I and Syoss don’t work well together and trying that hair mask proved it yet again. All I’m gonna say is that I felt like I used soap on my hair.

2. Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food Banana 3 In 1

Meh. That’s a good description of this. I understand that they tried to do something but it doesn’t work so well and to be honest, there’s no need to do something that’s THREE IN ONE when you can’t do even one properly. Maybe I’m too mean… Basically, it was just okay. That’s it. You know the feeling when you wash off the hair mask and your hair is smooth and sleeky and you can feel it? Well, it just doesn’t happen with this one.

3. Coco & Eve Like a Virgin Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque

Okay, let’s make one thing clear. I’d never spend so much money on a damn hair mask, even if it makes my hair golden or something. And if you’re wondering how I got to try it, I just received a sample. That’s it. The mask is very good, that’s something I can’t deny but the price is too high for me. However, if you’re feeling like spending some…

4. Ziaja Goat’s Milk Hair Mask

I have no idea if this brand’s products can be purchased somewhere in-store because, as far as I know, it’s Polish, but they do have a website that accepts orders, besides I think it’s on eBay too. A lovely hair mask that smells cute, has three more versions – with cocoa, olive oil and orange.

5. HASK Argan Oil Repairing Deep Conditioner

It’s time for the winner of today’s challenge (I’ve been watching too much Ru Paul’s Drag Race, excuse me) to be announced. Although this isn’t really amongst the hair masks, this has been my secret, treasure, call it whatever you want. I love this mask, it works absolutely amazing, does wonders and is probably the best I’ve ever used. Bear in mind that it doesn’t have a super flowery smell like the rest from this list, but it still smells nice though.

There go my adventures with hair masks. As you can clearly see, my favourites are more than obvious! You could decide to give them all a try, you can buy them in Superdrug, Boots, Tesco and places such as those. Remember, whatever didn’t work for me might work for you! Share your thoughts below!
