These healthy breakfast ideas will help you to have a bright energized morning! They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and even if it’s not scientifically proven it does make a difference when you skip it.

Having a good breakfast is vital to start up your day with energy as it will give you the right nutrients to feel good and this will be reflected in your performance. Sometimes you run out of recipes or get tired of having always the same morning meal, that is why these healthy breakfast ideas will help you to expand your cookbook and stay healthy at the same time.

1. Oatmeal with fresh fruits

Oatmeal is such a lovely cereal, you can get a yummy oatmeal bowl in less than 10 minutes as it cooks very fast and takes few ingredients. It adds a protein and fiber boost to your diet plus, it’s a gluten-free option.

Get some instant oats, add some milk into a pot and cook them for over five minutes. Add your favorite fresh fruits, a pinch of cinnamon and some maple syrup or honey to give it that extra yumminess.

2. Avocado Toast

Who doesn’t love some avocado in anything?! Avocado is a holy fruit, it goes great in anything that you add it to and is filled with “good fats” and vitamins to boost your day plus is on the top list of healthy breakfast ideas.

You can mash it with some EVOO, salt, and pepper and add it to some fresh toasts, top it off with cherry tomatoes and you are ready to go.

Replace white flour for whole wheat flour and the largest ripest banana you’ve got on your counter. You can add additional flavors like cinnamon and nutmeg. By making enough batter you can cook for the whole week and just microwave them or even freeze them up.

4. Fresh Fruit Bowl

There is nothing more energizing than having a delicious fresh bowl of fruits early in the morning! The natural sugars in the fruits will keep you thinking clearly and prepare your stomach for a delicious lunch.

Just keep in mind that this doesn’t mean you can have two bowls of fresh fruits, remember that fruits have their natural sugars and you definitely don’t want to get a sugar rush.

5. Peanut Butter Smoothie

If you don’t have much time in the mornings to spare and are always running to get to work, a smoothie will save your day! The most important thing is to pack it with protein, plant-based milk and healthy fats like coconut milk, peanut butter, and yogurt. This means no added sugar at all since you are already blending fruits in it.
