Eco-Friendly Rugs You Need For Your Flat ASAP

Rugs are a great way to style up your floors and sometimes even hide worn out flooring, the right one can brighten up any dull room. But, sometimes it’s nice to spice up your room while still helping the environment so here are some eco-friendly rugs that will make your flat pop.

Herringbone Jute Rug in Natural.

This rug is great for those of you looking for nude, classy look. It is made using high-grade Jute which is a plant form that is readily renewable and will not absorb dirt. This makes the carpet hardwearing and great for your floor.

Alternative Flooring Seagrass Fine Herringbone Flatweave Carpet.

This natural seagrass carpet is durable, tough, and will help the environment as well as styling out your flat. It would be perfect on your living room floor.

Oslo Taupe/Natural Eco Cotton Loom-Hooked Rug.

If you’re looking for a cotton rug with eye-catching patterns, why not try hook and loom’s eco cotton Oslo Taupe Rug? As they explain on their website, eco cotton is hand-woven loops of freshly spun 100% recycled Eco Cotton on a loom, without latex backing or adhesives. The result is eco-friendly and yet equally attractive rugs.

Solid Yellow Flatweave Eco Cotton Rug.

If you’re a fan of the Loom-Hooked eco cotton rug, why not try Hook and Looms flatweave eco cotton rugs. They explain that they ‘craft spools of coloured yarns from recovered textile fibres. Then [they] hand-weave [their] rugs on wooden looms from this new yarn, all with NO dyes, chemicals, or latex.’ This particular one is great for a vibrant and welcoming look.

Boucle Bleached Coir Carpet.

Naked Flooring offers a great collection of Coir carpets which are environmentally friendly and great for decorating houses. Coir is the fibre from the husk of coconuts and is therefore grown sustainably, it is minimally processed which means that it doesn’t have any additional chemicals. It repels moths and other pests which is an added bonus. This particular rug is my favourite because it’s bleached tone means that it would give your flat a golden look.
