1. Enjoy an adorable brunch at Aunties & Uncles.

Decorated with vintage posters and old school furniture, this cute little brunch place will give you a sense of where your grandparents went on dates. Their menu is filled with everything you could imagine when it comes to brunching, but do be prepared for a long wait. In keeping with the 50’s aesthetic, Aunties & Uncles only accepts cash, so be make sure to visit the ATM before you go!

2. Hit up this quirky, delicious food truck: Eva’s Original Chimneys

No, it’s not what it sounds like. This is not chimney company, but have no fear, their products are still smokin’ hot. This foodtruck’s idea of making doughnut cones is exploding. From a smalltown Hungarian woman’s idea to a dream come true, Eva’s Original Chimneys is a definite “IT food” of the summer. Because this is a foodtruck, they will be moving around from city to city, so be sure to check their website here to find out when they’ll be around Toronto again!

3. Salsa dance the night away at Lula Lounge.

Hopping on a plane to Spain would be a little pricey, so a fun alternative for an authentic Spanish cuisine experience is to visit the Lula Lounge on any Friday or Saturday this summer. Accompanied by live bands, you’re sure to forget about all your worries and just salsa dance the night away! Have two left feet? They’ve got your back! The Lula Lounge offers dance lessons for the rhythmically challenged…

Live music and cold beer. That’s their motto and it just about covers it all. The Dakota Tavern has a rustic feel that will make you want to throw on a cowboy hat and square dance your heart out. Not only do they bring a little bit of country to Little Portugal, but they also offer an awesome brunch!
