15 Winter Beauty Products Under $50 We Can’t Live Without

Winter is brutal, but our skin and hair seem to take the worst beating. There’s nothing worse than super dry skin that you just can’t get under control, it’s painful, embarrassing and just all around annoying. What’s worse if having spend even more money on beauty products, but these are all under $50 so they won’t break the bank! These beauty products will save your skin and your selfies in winter.

1. Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream

I would never classify myself as a beauty guru but if there is one beauty product I am passionate about more than anything it’s this actual miracle eye cream. Seriously, every single human I know I have made buy this product and all of them love it. I honestly should be a spokesperson for Ole because I probably get more people to buy it than their sales reps. This is an eye cream that’s slightly tinted to help to both cover eye bags and dark circles. But beyond just covering it, it also helps to heal it. When I was in college I tried everything there was to help with my eye bags. I tried cold rollers, every concealer on the market and nothing could hide my “I haven’t slept in three years” eye bags. Then Ole came along and literally transformed my eyes. If I didn’t wear makeup in college, people though I had two black eyes from how dark and puffy my eyes were, I was always so embarrassed. This is a staple for me year round, but for anyone looking for a solution other than copious amounts of concealer, this is your answer. It’s hydrating and brightening so it’s perfect for dull dry winter eyes.

2. Vaseline Lip Intense

Finding the lip product you love can be hard when there’s literally hundred of options. I’ve tried everything from Burts Bees to EOS but when my lips were cracking and bleeding I turned to an old classic, Vaseline, and I haven’t gone back since. As much as I liked the other lip products they just weren’t hydrating enough in winter for me. And if you’re not a fan of Vaseline, they have formulas specifically for your lips that are flavored and smell better than normal vaseline. They also have several that are tinted so if you want a little color on your lips without drying them out with a lip stain, this is a great alternative.

3. Pink Coco Lotion

I have tried every drug store lotion there ever was, and although I find them to be hydrating, I’ve been wanting something that smells better and is a bit thicker. Pink has a body care line that is honestly top notch and their Coco lotion is the MVP of winter. This stuff smells amazing, and is thicker than most lotions. It’s not like those cheap lotions you find that are just super fragranced and have no nourishment to them, this is smells like coconuts because it’s made with coconut oil, so less artificial scents and more natural products. The packaging for this is also beyond cute, but it really is a great product that will leave your skin smelling amazing but feeling even better.

4. Neutrogena Hydro Boost

My friend and I went to the beach in March and forgot to put on sunscreen, and our ghostly skin fried. I have had my fair share of sunburns in my time but this was next level and our faces were one of the worst places. We didn’t want to use aloe on our faces so we went to the store and tried out this face cream and we put this on religiously. It resurrected our dead skin and helped with the pealing. If it can literally save your skin when it borderline has sun poisoning, it will be able to hydrate your skin really well in winter. It’s a lightweight formula so it doesn’t cause your skin to break out but still gives it enough hydration for it to look and feel good.

5. Covergirl Lash Blast

This has been my go to mascara for ten years. Even after trying high end and numerous other mascaras, I will always go back to this one. This is super cheap compared to other mascaras but you don’t compromise quality when you use this. It gives a great boost in volume and length. With winter dealing with false lashes can be a lot and super expensive, this always gives me a really full lash look. The last time I was at the hair salon, the receptionist thought I had also just gotten eyelash extensions, when in fact it was just my $6.99 covergirl mascara.

6. Drunk Elephant Jelly Cleanser

This was a freebie from Sephora so I used it when I was traveling. I usually find my skin breaks out when traveling but my skin was crystal clear and looked the brightest it ever had. I tried it when I got back home and my skin still looked really great, its a simple cleanser with a sweet cantaloupe smell. It’s perfect for winter since it won’y dry out your skin too much like other face washes tend to do, but still clear up any excess oils. Its the perfect solution to getting clear and moisturized skin.

7. Sephora Collection Gel Mask

If you need an extra boost of moisture outside of your face lotion, this gel mask is a quick and easy answer. Most face masks that aren’t sheet masks are ones used to clear up acne, or peel away dead skin. But if you’re like me and want a moisturizing mask and the sheet masks creep you out, (They look like Dwight when he cuts off the CPR dummy face) this is a more practical solution. This only takes five minutes and you just scoop out some put it on your skin, let it sit and then rub the extra mask into your skin. Also unlike most masks, you can use this everyday. So if your skin needs an extra moisture boost, put this on each night before bed to ensure you wake up refreshed.

8. Mario Badescu Rose Water Facial Spray

I had seen a huge hype about facial sprays, especially this one, but didn’t quite understand what it was actually for, I got a travel size one always because I have no self control when it comes to mini products and I’ll admit it was worth the hype. I tend to breakout when I use moisturizer daily, but I don’t like when my skin looks dull and dry. This was a good everyday solution for me and a great solution for someone who may need a little extra pick me up moisturizer throughout the day.

9. Perfect Ten Hand Mask

If your hands are just beyond dry even after continually putting on lotions, you may need a deeper treatment. This warms your hands and also doubles as a cuticle treatment. This hand mask is a great solution to add extra moisture to your hands. This is honestly just a really good solution for everyone in winter, we are all washing our hands excessively to avoid sickness and using hand sanitizer constantly. These hands masks are good to use once a week, or if you really struggle with really dry hands you could use it daily.

10. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

This body cream is super nourishing and thick, making for the best solution for winter skin. Other than normal Vaseline, I think this is the best solution for really dry skin. This is lightly fragranced but not overwhelming and works on even the driest skin. I read that putting on lotion after your shower is the best way to ensure your skin really gets the most benefits of the moisturizers. This is one of the more pricy items, the full size is $32 but going for a smaller size will save you a little extra money. But if you are prone to really dry skin, you’ll need this in winter.

11. Love Beauty And Planet Hair Mask

This is the only drug store shampoo and conditioner that I can really get behind so I tried out their hair mask as well and for a cheap hair mask I really liked it. I hear all the time how bad drug store hair products are for your hair, especially if it’s color treated but sometimes you just can’t use $30 shampoo everyday.  I love the scent of these and I actually can feel how smooth my hair is after using these. The hair mask is perfect to add a little extra nourishment to your hair when you’re curling it and straightening it and just generally frying it. Your hair will love the extra moisture kick.

I’ve used basically every dry shampoo there ever was, and although I’ve liked several, this is the one I always find myself going back too. In winter especially with throwing on hats and all the damage we do to our hair, it’s nice to not wash it all the time but we don’t want it looking greasy. This dry shampoo smells good, refreshes your hair and doesn’t leave white powder at the roots of your hair. This brushed through really nicely and adds some volume.

15. Kat Von D Powder Foundation

Now, I am not a huge fan of foundation, it either breaks out my skin or covers up my freckles, which I really like, so I try to stay away from foundation. But, I get so pale in winter that I look sickly, so I use this to give a more even, less deathly ill complexion. This is a really lightweight foundation that won’t make you break out, but will cover any blemishes you want to cover, but still sheer enough to show of freckles or any other beauty marks you don’t want to hide. It give you a natural glow and blends very seamlessly and won’t dry out your skin or clog your pores.
