What Workout You Should Try Based on Your Zodiac Sign

We all want to get in better shape but sometimes it can be difficult to find the fitness routine that’s right for us. Check out your zodiac sign to see what workout you should try next!

Aries (March 21-April 20)

Aries, you need an intense workout that will keep you focused and having fun while making you feel powerful. You should try kickboxing! It’s a great way to build muscle while working on your cardio and will make you feel tough and strong (which is your favorite way to feel). Not to mention that kickboxing is a great way to burn off any anger or frustration that has built up throughout the day, as well as some of that fire sign energy that comes with your astrology.



Taurus (April 21-May 21)

Taureans don’t always feel motivated to go workout, but a fun workout class like self-defense or Krav Maga will inspire you to show up to class. You work with trainers and other students so there will be people to help hold you accountable, and classes get more advanced at your pace. Learning self-defense is a great way to get fit while learning valuable life skills and feeling more confident and capable. The perks of this workout will definitely inspire you to get to class and sweat for an hour!

Gemini (May 22-June 21)

Geminis need something high intensity that will keep their attention, but also something that allows for breaks since Gems are notorious for having little bursts of energy. This variable energy comes from being an air sign in astrology. Rest assured, there is never a dull or boring day at Crossfit. Joining Crossfit seems super intimidating, but everyone starts somewhere and Crossfit is a great way to get in shape fast. It involves workout sets so you will be able to take breaks in between, and the other trainers and students there will encourage you to work hard and keep showing up to class!

Cancer (June 22-July 22)

Yoga is the perfect exercise routine for Cancers. You guys thrive when you have time in your schedule to realign yourself and find inner peace. Yoga will allow you to calm down, get away from the real world for a little bit, and work on your fitness and mental health. Getting on the mat, whether you go to a class or just follow a YouTube video in your bedroom, means taking some time for yourself where you don’t have to think about anything but breathing and finding peace, which is exactly what a Cancer needs!



Leo (July 23-August 23)

Leos, your fun and energetic personality would fit right in at Zumba! If you haven’t tried Zumba, it’s a fun cardio-dance program that is easy to follow along with even if you have no dance experience. As long as you can have fun dancing along to music and do basic exercises like squats and jumping jacks, you’re golden. This is a great opportunity to work out with friends, have a great time, and get toned at the same time!


Virgo (August 24-September 23)

Virgos benefit from having some structure in their lives, and a great fit for you would be barre fitness. This is a workout routine using elements of ballet combined with traditional exercise to really build strength while giving you long, lean muscles. Classes are usually taught in gyms or studios and use traditional ballet barres in the routine, but you can also find classes online through programs like Barre3 or on YouTube (for these you can just use a chair instead of a ballet barre). This is a great way to build muscle while finding grace and control in your movements.



Libra (September 24-October 23)

Team sports or activities would be perfect for Libras, our social butterflies of astrology. You will feel much more motivated to work out when you can have fun with your friends. They will keep you accountable for actually working out, plus it breaks up the routine of going to the gym. Usually you can find a way to play sports casually in a way that doesn’t take up too much of your already busy schedule.



Scorpio (October 24-November 22)

Even though Scorpio’s symbol is a scorpion, they are considered water signs in astrology. This sign can find a lot of healing and peace in water so a great option would be swimming! Swimming is fun and different from most other exercises, but it’s also a pretty tough workout if you put in the effort. It’s great for building lean muscle and rapidly improving cardiovascular health, and can also be a very peaceful way of getting some alone time and blowing off some steam.

Aquarians should try individual sports like swimming or running, where they can compete with themselves. Aquarius is one of the most independent signs in astrology, and they like having some alone time. They are also always striving to improve, which individual sports allow, without involving the competitive and intense nature of team sports, which Aquarians might not thrive under. Many individual sports also allow Aquas to get out of their head, as they have a certain affinity for overthinking.

Pisces (February 20-March 20)

Pisces would benefit from hiking or walking in nature. This can be as physically intensive as you want, whether it’s a long, difficult hike through the woods or just a casual walk through your neighborhood. Pisces can spend a lot of time in their heads, so getting outside and reconnecting with nature can help increase inner peace and ground their thoughts. It will increase fitness as well as mental health.
