What To Wear To Pride That Will Have You Looking Cute And Unique

Ever year in June cities and towns around the world come together to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community through Pride Fest. What began as a humble, small festival has grown to be something iconic that is celebrated universally. If you find yourself wanting to experience your first Pride this upcoming June, or you’re a seasoned veteran looking for some fashion inspiration, this is for you. Below is a list of outfits that will surely make you standout in the crowd, whether you’re just going to the festival or actually deciding to march in a Pride Fest parade.

1. Cropped Sweater

Sweaters may seem like a weird choice for a summer festival but it can have it’s benefits when partnered with the right bottoms and the right material. If you find yourself wanting to rock a rainbow sweater look for one with thinner, breathable material. If you’re still concerned about overheating instead of wearing a pair of high waisted jeans instead pair your rainbow sweater with a pair of high waisted cut off shorts. Or you can be daring and find colorful hot pants, whichever fits your personality will surely make you look great.

If you’re going to a Pride Fest last minute and don’t have time to prepare an elaborate outfit instead take the opportunity to utilize accessories. Consider wearing a brightly colored flower crown on your hair to show your support for the LGBTQ+ community, plus it will help keep your hair out of your face on a hot June day.

If you’re not someone who lies to stand out too much but would still like to look unique during your pride fest consider wearing a pair of rainbow suspenders. What’s nice with these is that they’ll go with relatively anything you plan on wearing, whether that be a skirt, jeans, pants, shorts or even probably a pair of leggings.

5. Rainbow Dress & Fanny Pack

Dresses are great and all until you realize you have no place to put your phone, wallet or other necessities. If you don’t want to lug around a backpack or a purse, and for safety reasons some Pride Fest’s may not even allow you to have a large bag consider wearing a fanny pack. What was once a shameful accessory from the 80s these waist purses have made a serious comeback with the amount of festivals that are held around the year. A fanny pack will guarantee you won’t lose your purse or backpack by setting it down and a clear one will also surely pass through security.
