1. Avocado Toast

OK, this one is a given but it needs to be added. Avocado toast is not only delicious but it also is incredibly good for you. Avocados have a ton of healthy fats that our bodies need. If you want to keep is basic, just add some pink Himalayan salt and some chili flakes and call it a day. Or if you want to make it more nutritious, add on a poached egg or feta and cherry tomatoes. All of these combos are amazing.

2. Chia Jam Toast

Chia jam is so simple to make. This toast is good for those who are in a rush and don’t have time to make eggs in the morning. This jam can be made a head of time. Add two cups of your fruit of choice, I like raspberries and strawberries and one tablespoon of lemon juice to a sauce pan. Heat over a medium-high until the fruit starts to break down and bubble. Next add two tablespoons of chia seeds. Stir and remove from the heat. After it cools, the chia seeds will start to become one with the fruit mixture and form a jam/jelly like consistency. Add to a jar and store in the fridge. When needed, spread the jam on top of your toast of choice. To give even more texture, add on some goji berries or cacao nibs. This toast is so simple but it tastes good and its better for you than any jam bought in store.

3. Almond Butter and Banana Toast

If you enjoy sweet things, then this toast is for you. If you don’t like almond butter it can be switched for peanut or cashew butter either way, this toast is to die for. Spread any form of nut butter you like onto a piece of toast. Top with thinly sliced bananas and a drizzle of agave nectar. This toast can be made completely vegan too just depending on the bread.

4. Bean and Spinach Toast

This one might be a little weird but this savory toast is bomb. Sauté sweet white onions and white beans (or any bean of your choice) in a pan with a little bit of avocado oil. Once the onions start to become translucent, add in some fresh spinach and garlic. When everything is cooked together, toast your bread, add a layer of pesto and add on your bean mixture. This toast is packed with a ton of nutrients and will keep you full. Prepare the mixture the night before and add to your toast in the morning if you are in a hurry. This one takes a little bit more time but is worth the hassle.

5. Sun dried Tomato Toast

Another savory toast but a goodie. This is a take on a caprese salad. Take a piece of your favorite bread and pop it into the toaster. Top it off with some sun dried tomatoes and if you want it to be a little more indulgent add on some mozzarella or burrata. Adding burrata cheese will make it creamy and more filling. To finish, drizzle a little bit of balsamic glaze and basil leaves. This toast can be a great lunch with a side salad.
