Becoming a balanced boss of your life is what we crave. We strive to see the day where who we become is worth feeling amazing about and fears of what life will throw at us will diminish slowly but surely. Unfortunately, that isn’t always true. Many times, life gets more hectic as we get older and we have to learn how to balance everything accordingly. Here are 10 ways to become a balanced boss of your life.
1. Morning Routines are EVERYTHING
Never underestimate an amazing morning routine. Or a routine in general. If you want to feel balanced in life, then you need to start looking at the underlying problems that occur. Do you wake up wondering what you should do today? Or do you feel as if life is just passing you by with no purpose? Then this is a huge WARNING sign that you need to start making a successful morning routine that works for you.
Let’s start by finding out where you want to go in life. Write down where you see yourself in 5 years. If that’s too much, start with one. Knowing where you are going is the first step to navigating exactly to where you want to be in life. Think of it like this, if you are in your car and you are about to go to a new location that you have never been to. Would you just jump into your car and just “hope” you will get there? NO! You would put it into a GPS and get the directions of how to go there. The same thing with life, we can’t go somewhere if we don’t know how to go there.
Creating a morning routine that works for you is done by figuring out what works best for you to achieve your dreams on a daily basis. Achieving dreams is all about consistency. When we say consistency we mean pretty much every day. If you are a morning person, make a list of what you want to accomplish. For example; 5am wake up, 5:30am go for a run, 6:30am meditate, so on and so forth. Having healthy habits that you do every day builds your confidence in who you are and who you want to become. You will also be able to achieve everything in a “balanced” way because you have scheduled out what you do on the daily without missing the important things.
2. Self-care is how we do it
Everyone knows by now that self-care is a MUST, but actually doing it is what makes it count. Taking care of yourself helps you stay balanced because it means you are first taking the time to be with yourself. Once you spend that special time with you, you are more loving to those around you.
Self-care doesn’t need to be a big show of things to accomplish for you, especially if you feel that you have a million things to do on your to-do list. It can simply be just having a bath at the end of the night while watching an episode or two of your favorite Netflix series. Balanced is a state of mind and the more you are able to control it, the easier life becomes in managing life’s challenges.
3.Eat the real food
Eating food is essential if you want to function in a balanced lifestyle. If you really want to get the most out of life, then you need to not only just eat food, but eat the right kinds of food. If you are constantly eating junk food, then you will slowly diminish throughout the day. You might not see the benefits of eating healthy right away, but by giving it a couple of days, you will start to really notice how much more you really are actually able to accomplish.
As we get older, we for some reason stop sleeping as much. It’s as if we think we have this superpower to achieve twice as much with little to no sleep and that’s just not the case. In fact, we most likely will be more cranky, frustrated, and without a doubt unproductive. We get it, sometimes you can’t get that full 8 hours of sleep you are craving, but it’s important to always try to make the time.
When you get 7-8 hours of sleep you work better and feel better. You will be able to get a lot more done in the day while staying in a more positive mindset. No one likes a crab apple, so take the time to get those extra zzz’s.
5. Set goals
Setting goals will change your life. Find a goal that makes you excited. Something that motivates you to become a better version of yourself. If you don’t know what kind of goal to achieve, that’s okay but take 30minutes to an hour out of your day to think of what you really want in your life. When you have something to look forward to every day you feel alive. Try it for 30 days and see where it goes. Who knows maybe you will achieve your goal faster than you thought!
6. Take action
Although setting goals is extremely important and is the first step to any goals actually being achieved, taking action is even more important. Nothing in life will happen for you if you just wait around assuming that an opportunity will come knocking on your door. Make the time to make your goals actually become reality. If you want to become a makeup artist, start taking classes, practicing on people, or even working in a makeup store. Find the ways and resources that fit your dreams.
If you are going to be a balanced boss, money is without a doubt a must! Learning to budget your finances will help you stay in control of your life. It’s sad to say that money is what makes the world go round, but that’s our reality and the best thing to do is to make sure you wake up to that realization. If you want to take vacations you dreamed of, buy an amazing car, or live in your dream house it all comes down to money. Learn how to budget correctly and align them with your goals and you will be able to afford your dreams in no time.
Being balanced will never fully work unless you take control of your mind. One of the ways to do this is by exercising. Exercising a bit every day helps your body and mind. It makes you feel good, it helps you look good, it improves your mentality. All of these things grow with time and repetition. Add exercise into your balanced life just as if it was brushing your teeth. Do it every day and receive the benefits in the future.
9. School and work
After you have written down your goals, you should by now know where you want to go in life. If you are in the direction where you need more school or work experience make the effort to do so. You never want to be 10 years down the road and wished you tried something that you were passionate about.
There are too many people in this world who hurt because they don’t love what they do. You can change that if you want, by doing what you actually want to do. Don’t wait for anyone to tell you to go or not to go do something. You are the only one accountable for what you want in life. So make it happen on your own terms.
10. Start finding like-minded individuals
Find people that are like you. The significance of this is that you will start to grow in a new light that has never has been seen before. When you are inspired by the people around you, you want to become better than who you are. You want to feel how they feel and it pushes you to become a better individual. You are the people you spend your time with. So make the most out of life and spend it with people who understand you. Your dreams will come true a lot faster.
