Ok, so you\u2019re a fresher at Plymouth University ready to escape the house rules and move on to make your own rules, or you\u2019re returning from your break away and you\u2019ve still not seen or done everything you want to do. Well, you\u2019ve come to the right place, I have just the thing for you! To ensure you leave university with no regrets, I have come up with the ultimate Plymouth University bucket list. There are fifteen tasks for you to complete before you start your life in the so called \u201creal world.\u201d After ticking all these tasks off the list, you will definitely leave university with fond memories!<\/p>\n

1. Do something for charity.<\/h3>\n

Whether it be a sponsored run, organising a fundraising event, a jailbreak, get involved with your university\u2019s charities committee and help do your bit. Last year, students at Plymouth University raised \u00a3327,849.70 for charity. You can get involved in fundraising by joining RAG (Raise and Give).<\/p>\n

2. Prank your housemates.<\/h3>\n

This is a must! Make a fool out of your housemates, do something to their room whilst they\u2019re away or even block their door so they can\u2019t get out!<\/p>\n

3. Get the Freshers\u2019 Flu.<\/h3>\n

Now, this isn\u2019t something you want to get, but it will happen whilst you\u2019re at university. Otherwise you are definitely not doing something right.<\/p>\n

4. Learn to cook.<\/h3>\n

This is the most valuable life skill you\u2019ll ever need. The odd takeaway is fine of course as we can\u2019t all help our hangovers or when we are super busy loaded up with work. But, you should know what you\u2019re putting in your body and especially healthy foods. You\u2019ll thank me later!<\/p>\n

5. Wake up and not know where you are.<\/h3>\n

A classic student moment that needs to happen to everyone. But hopefully you\u2019re not anywhere too bad when you wake up. No regrets\u2026.<\/p>\n

6. Watch a whole TV series in one day.<\/h3>\n

Ok, maybe not Netflix and Chill, but\u2026 you will be very capable of watching a whole TV series in one day whilst pigging out on pizza and chocolate. WARNING: Not recommended before a deadline or during exam season!<\/p>\n

7. Learn to budget.<\/h3>\n

Again, this is another life skill you\u2019ll need to master. We know that some of you may not have the best loan in the world but you need to know when you can afford drink, and when you should stay in. We don\u2019t want to go and ask mummy and daddy now do we?<\/p>\n

8. Make the most out of your NUS.<\/h3>\n

You\u2019ve only got a few years\u2019 worth of student discounts, so make the most of it and use them while you can!!<\/p>\n

9. Make your own alcohol.<\/h3>\n

We all know the Tipsy Bartender right?! Well, why not make your own alcohol for your pre drinks before you go out or at your house\/flat parties? It\u2019s all cheap ingredients, but the taste is awesome and bound to make your night amazing!<\/p>\n

10. Try something new.<\/h3>\n

Whether it be a new club, pub, restaurant, new language, sports or society club, take advantage of these and try something new! The choices here are endless!<\/p>\n

11. Break a bone and spend time in A&E.<\/h3>\n

From experience\u2026 consume lots of alcohol at pre drinks, make it to the first club and fall over\u2026 throw up in the taxi, throw up in the hospital and fall asleep in A&E at 1am for 3 hours until you get called in! Definitely something I wouldn\u2019t recommend but maybe brake a smaller bone\u2026 What happens at Plymouth University, stays in Plymouth University as they say! It is good fun though, spending hours in A&E sobering up with a good bunch of friends! It\u2019s all part of growing up eh??<\/p>\n

12. Do the dreaded walk of shame.<\/h3>\n

Oh? You thought I meant one night stand? Dirty dishes sitting in your room more like! Once you\u2019ve settled in you\u2019ll realise the dishes pile up in your room and you have to walk all the way down the corridor of your halls embarrassed of what you\u2019re bringing into the kitchen. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN\u2026 AVOID EYE CONTACT!<\/p>\n

13. Go to your lecture in something very different.<\/h3>\n

Well you\u2019ve escaped from your parents and you\u2019ve also escaped the rules of school uniform and formal attire. So why not wear pyjamas in public, or turn up in the clothes you wore the night before all hungover? Who cares if you wake up five minutes before your lecture in your onesie? At least you\u2019ve attended the lecture right?<\/span><\/p>\n

14. Do a dissertation.<\/h3>\n

You\u2019ll hate it, but it is definitely going to be a great feeling when it\u2019s over. Just work hard, do as much research as possible but still have a good time with your mates! You\u2019ll be surprised how many of your friends will give you all that love and support!<\/p>\n

15. Get a degree!<\/h3>\n

Don\u2019t forget that you\u2019re paying a lot of money to go to university! So, don\u2019t waste it, make sure you come out of it with the degree you want so make sure you\u2019ve chosen the degree that\u2019s right for you.<\/p>\n
