It\u2019s hard being a girl and dealing with makeup can be a real struggle sometimes. But, here are some life-changing makeup tips\u00a0you might not know that will make your life a little easier.<\/p>\n

1. Make lipstick last longer with a tissue and translucent powder<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

It is extremely annoying having your lipstick not staying put\u2026which leads me to one of my favourite life-changing makeup tips. After applying your lipstick, take a tissue and place it over your lips. Then, take translucent powder on a brush and dab it onto the tissue over your lips. Now your lipstick will stay put!<\/p>\n

2. Use toilet seat covers as blotting paper.<\/h3>\n

Ever run out of blotting paper when your face is super oily? It\u2019s not a cute look. Go to a public restroom and take a seat cover, rip it up into smaller pieces and use it to de-grease your face!<\/p>\n

3. Cut makeup tubes to get every last drop.<\/h3>\n

Makeup packaging can be a real pain, but a great way to get every bang for your buck is to cut open your makeup tubes and scrape out the leftover makeup into another pot.<\/p>\n

4. Use white eyeliner<\/a> as an eye shadow base.<\/h3>\n

Sometimes eye shadows turn out to be a little more blase then expected. Use a white eyeliner<\/a> as a base and it\u00a0will really make your eye shadow pop! The liner will open up your eyes and instantly upgrade your look.<\/p>\n

5. Put petroleum jelly<\/a> on your lashes before mascara to avoid\u00a0clumps.<\/h3>\n

Sometimes you don\u2019t have time to redo your makeup after work or school on a night out. A great way to fix up your mascara and avoid clumps is to take some petroleum jelly between your fingertips and rub it onto your lashes. Apply your mascara afterwards; no more clumps!<\/p>\n

6. Try \u201cbaking\u201d your face.<\/h3>\n

A great way to reduce oil and keep concealer in place is \u201cbaking.\u201d (Not that<\/em> kind of baking -don\u2019t worry, none of these life-changing makeup tips requires the use of an oven!) This technique is pretty simple; just place your concealer (usually under the eyes) and blend it out. Then place a heavy layer of translucent powder<\/a> on top. Let it set for 5 minutes and then knock off the remaining powder.<\/p>\n

7. Save\u00a0your mascara with eye drops<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

If your mascara gets dry and you’re having trouble with it, put a few squirts of eye drops<\/a> into the tube. It\u2019ll liquefy the mascara so you can keep on using it.<\/p>\n

8.\u00a0Match your foundation<\/a> to your neck, not your wrist.<\/h3>\n

To avoid your face being a different colour from your neck, test foundations on your neck and NOT your hand or wrist. This will give you a\u00a0much more natural look.<\/p>\n

9. Hairspray<\/a>, on your brows?<\/h3>\n

If you run out of brow gel, don\u2019t worry, hairspray is a great alternative. Spray a little onto a\u00a0spooly and then brush your unruly brows. No spooly? Use a toothbrush! I\u2019d recommend not doing this\u00a0everyday \u2013 the hairspray might be a little harsh on your skin.<\/p>\n

10. The easiest way to symmetrical wings\u2026<\/h3>\n

Eyeliner can be tricky, especially if you’re going for any sort of wing. A great way to make sure your eyeliner<\/a> is symmetrical is to place dots where you want it to be. Just connect the dots and fill it in!<\/p>\n
