But decluttering your desk doesn’t have to be a bore, and a good cleanup will make studying a whole lot easier! Here are 5 cute ways to organise your desk, and give your workspace that makeover it deserves.<\/p>\n

1. Use A Desk Organiser<\/h2>\n

The clue is in the name. Having a desk organiser in front of you is a really simple method of keeping you and your desk…well…organised!<\/p>\n

Desk organisers are perfect for keeping all your stuff together in one place, so you don’t have to waste time searching instead of working. You can tidy away your materials in the compartments provided so they don’t take up precious room on your desk, and it’s fab for keeping all your notebooks handy as well!<\/p>\n

2. Invest In Basket Storage<\/h2>\n

It’s always a good idea to invest in some storage to help organise your desk. Why not try some miniature baskets to store all your study essentials? That way, you won’t have to worry about cluttering up your desk with odd bits and bobs!<\/p>\n

They’re big enough to fit everything you need, but small enough that they won’t end up making your desk look more untidy. Plus, they look super cute and add a little decorative sparkle to an otherwise dull work surface. What’s not to like?<\/p>\n

3. Try Some Homemade Pen Holders<\/h2>\n

Don’t despair, homemade pen holders are definitely not as boring as they sound!<\/p>\n

Used up all the tea bags in your Twinings tin? Don’t want to get rid of that colourful can your soup came in? Then why not think outside the box and fill a couple of containers with your pens and pencils?<\/p>\n

Not only will they help organise your desk essentials, but homemade pen holders are a fantastic alternative to shelling out on a brand new pot from a shop if you’re short on cash. Plus, you’ll be doing the environment a whole lot of good by putting those pots to use, instead of throwing them away.<\/p>\n

4. Put Up A Pinboard<\/h2>\n

Pinboards are making a comeback! These nifty little essentials are a great idea for storing all those bits of paper you aren’t ready to throw away just yet, and they definitely add a personal touch to your work station! Instead of leaving paperwork on the desk in a big heap, attach it to a pinboard so you can keep on top of things!<\/p>\n

Pinboards are a fab place to store all your reminders, memos and revision notes, so you never have to forget a thing! If you really want to jazz up your desk, you could add some cool postcards or artwork to your pinboard to make it a little more eye-catching. The possibilities are endless!<\/p>\n

5. Get Some Desk Plants<\/h2>\n

While desk plants may not be an obvious idea when it comes to organising your desk, I’m here to tell you that they’re actually a necessity. Research suggests that having a plant in your room can boost your mood, and even help increase productivity!<\/p>\n

Replacing your clutter with a desk plant is a good idea if you want to achieve that open space effect, and it’ll certainly be a great finishing touch to a clean workspace.<\/p>\n

Opt for a Peace Lily or a Devil’s Ivy if your desk isn’t near a window, as these plants don’t need a lot of light to thrive. Having a desk plant will seriously brighten up the whole setup, and they’re a great way of keeping your desk looking super tidy and organised!<\/p>\n
