1. Black Mocha<\/h2>\n

Black Mocha is one of the nicest places to grab a cup of coffee in Brighton. Located right in the heart of the city’s bohemian North Laine, Black Mocha is a cosy little place that serves great coffee, cakes and a small brunch\/breakfast menu. You have to try their hot chocolates with white chocolate, milk and a vegan dark one to choose from, all made with real melted chocolate- delicious.<\/p>\n

2. Pelicano<\/h2>\n

Pelicano is a student favourite in the city and when it comes to cakes this cafe really doesn’t hold anything back. There is an ever-changing\u00a0selection\u00a0of layer cakes, sandwiches and pastries to choose from here This, coupled with it’s laid back vibe and free wifi means that it’s the ideal cafe for a study date.<\/p>\n

3. Trading Post<\/h2>\n

If everywhere else in town is full, you’re always guaranteed to find a table in this spacious cafe. Trading Post roasts their own coffee on site and you can even choose what type of bean you want when you order you’re coffee. What’s more, if you’re after brunch then this cafe is the best place to go, with its large and inexpensive all-day brunch menu to choose from.<\/p>\n

4. Small Batch<\/h2>\n

Small Batch pioneered good coffee in Brighton and these days it’s somewhat of a local institution. There are a few Small Batch’s around in the city now but one of the most accessible ones is located next to the Jubilee Library. This small coffee chain primarily focuses on just that, great coffee but they do have a small selection of sandwiches and cakes to choose from too.<\/p>\n

5. Flour Pot Bakery<\/h2>\n

Another Brightonian favourite, the Flour Pot Bakery is another local coffee chain in Brighton. Although they have a few locations now over the city, Flour Pot has still managed to maintain that independent\u00a0cafe vibe. While they undoubtedly serve great coffee, what Flour Pot is really known for is its baked goods. This bakery sells delicious fresh artisan bread, homemade doughnuts, cakes and pastries so it really is heaven for foodies.<\/p>\n

One of Brighton’s quirkiest cafes, no trip to the city would be complete without stopping by Marwood. This eclectic cafe has a really quirky decor and it primarily specialises in great coffee. 7. Redroaster<\/h2>\n

Redroaster has had a bit of a makeover over the last couple of years and this cafe\/restaurant is now making a name for itself as one of the trendiest cafes around. The decor in this spacious\u00a0cafe is just made for Instagram and its food menu is\u00a0equally as impressive.<\/p>\n

This French cafe\/bistro is hailed by locals and tourists alike as serving the best brunch in Brighton. Calling all Vegans, Longhouse is the cafe for you. This gorgeous little independent cafe is located on Brighton’s up and coming Old London Road and it really is one of the cutest cafes around. Featuring an entirely plant-based menu, Longhouse is a favourite with Brighton’s many vegan and vegetarians and with an ever-changing selection of food and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s easy to see why.<\/p>\n

If you’re after anything sweet then Cloud 9 never fails to disappoint. This cupcake shop bakes all their own products on site and they have a range of delicious cakes, slices and homemade ice cream to choose from.
