I love underwear. I remember the first time I got really<\/em> nice matching sets (thank you, L\u2019Agent by Agent Provocateur sales. I still miss you) \u2013 it was like a second Christmas. There\u2019s just something about wearing a matching set of lingerie that makes you feel like you can do anything. It\u2019s grand. I now stalk the Agent Provocateur site near-obsessively, waiting for the sales to start. The\u00a0Rihanna lingerie line is no exception.<\/p>\n

\n<\/h6>\n

I somehow managed to spend \u00a330 quid on a pair of pants last year. I still don\u2019t know how that happened. This being said, I\u2019m a white, slim woman \u2013 I\u2019ve never struggled seeing myself represented in any of the campaigns, and can only imagine what it must be like for curvier or bigger women, women of colour, or both.<\/p>\n

This is, as we all know by now, where the Rihanna lingerie line came in.<\/h2>\n

Her new Rihanna lingerie line, Savage X Fenty, dropped 11th<\/sup> May after a few months of teasing on social media, and it\u2019s fabulous. Probably one of the most exciting launches of the year \u2013 there was a waiting list just to get\u00a0on the website when the line launched.<\/p>\n

Continuing to promote inclusivity with underwear available in all shades and sizes (as well as being affordable), the new line features everything from comfortable, casual T-shirt bras and basic pants to risqu\u00e9 floral lace basque\/corset-type creations.<\/p>\n

First things first, on top of the line shipping to a whopping 210 countries, all of the 90 items come in a fantastic range of sizes: the bras are available from 32A to 44DD, with everything else ranging from XS to 3XL.<\/h2>\n

(Some fans did complain about these sizes, and the line has promised to introduce more sizes soon so if you\u2019re not seeing yourself represented yet, keep your eyes on the brand\u2019s social media). I\u2019ve lots of friends with larger bra sizes, and friends who\u2019re plus-sized, and I\u2019ve often had to hear about just how hard it is for bigger women to find nice underwear (it\u2019s 2018, it really shouldn\u2019t still be this hard, but here we are).<\/p>\n

\n<\/h6>\n

Even brands like Monki and Weekday, who are, more of then than not, very much on the ball in terms of inclusivity, don\u2019t cater to anyone past an XL size \u2013 although their new swimwear campaigns do attempt to remedy this. Rihanna\u2019s lingerie line, however, went straight for it, and the line\u2019s popularity (even before the launch) only goes to show that all-inclusive representation is key.<\/p>\n

Women (and anyone else wanting to wear cute underwear) want to see themselves in the campaigns, something which is taking painfully long for most brands to realise. There\u2019s something incredibly heart-warming and uplifting about seeing all<\/em> women represented and celebrated \u2013 not one model used in Savage x Fenty was a tokenised afterthought. What’s great as well is the focus on personal style: this is underwear you wear for yourself and no-one else.<\/p>\n

Anyway, back to the pieces themselves.<\/h2>\n

The On the Reg line features affordable nude bras and pants, all of which are great for whenever you\u2019re wanting something comfortable and casual to wear \u2013 their bralets in particular are stunning. Shop below:<\/p>\n
