Although the beginnings of their relationship are slightly ambiguous, with Jay-Z stating in a 2007 interview that the pair met 10 years previous, whilst\u00a0Beyonc\u00e9 claims they met when she was 18 (so 1999\/2000). They have been through ups and downs in the past few years but still managed to keep their relationship going for more than a decade, as they got married and went on to have three beautiful children. According to various sources Solange’s attack was her standing up for Beyonc\u00e9 as the protective sister she is. They broke the silence on the matter stating that they had problems like any other family, and were working through their issues. The incident was referenced in Beyonc\u00e9’s song Flawless<\/em>, and three years later Jay-Z discussed his relationship with Solange stating “that’s my sister, not my sister-in-law”. Although she was eventually outbid, everyone was buzzing over her diva move, possibly taking over her mother in that department.
