Travel is a big part of student life, as we have so much time off in the summer to just relax, explore, and have fun it\u2019s hard to choose where to go, especially when you are on a budget.<\/span>Here are 20 of the top travel destinations for students that may help you make your summer plans.<\/p>\n

1. Amsterdam, The Netherlands\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Amsterdam is a world of its own with charming culture, crazy nightlife, and quaint cafes. It is a great place for students go to explore and have fun, as long as they watch out for the bikes, they are everywhere.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Prague, Czech Republic<\/h2>\n

Prague is home to the largest castle complex in the world, which is definitely a beautiful sight to see. It is also one of the cheapest european cities to visit, so you could definitely get value for your money whether it is just a city break or a stop on the interrail.<\/p>\n

3.Ibiza, Balearic Islands<\/h2>\n

Ibiza is well known for its amazing nightlife and general partying, home to many famous beach clubs and nightclubs if you\u2019re looking for a party this is the best place to come. It also has beautiful beaches which you must visit, even if you\u2019ve had a long night the night before.

4. Berlin, Germany\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Berlin is rich in history, with must see sights such as the Berlin Wall and the Brandenburg gate. It also has amazing nightlife, with locals usually started their night around 4am and ending it at 12pm.<\/p>\n

Dubrovnik is the home of Game of Thrones\u2019 King\u2019s landing and plenty of other cultural sites. The beaches there are also beautiful with many people opting to island hop from Dubrovnik to Split, which is also equally as fascinating<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Krakow, Poland<\/span><\/h2>\n

The home of the historical site, Auschwitz where many people take tours – a very sobering and worthy visit. There are plenty of sights to see in Krakow, and when you think you have done them all get involved in their pub crawl! If you are a fan of nightlife then this will be one of your top travel destinations!<\/p>\n

7. Lisbon, Portugal<\/h2>\n

Lisbon is a mixture of everything you would want in a city break: beaches, culture, and nightlife. It\u2019s charm is enough to make you want to stay longer.<\/p>\n

The home of Buckingham Palace, the queen, and the rest of the royals and commoners. There are plenty of attractions to see in London so I would advise getting the tube, it is cheap but not easy to navigate, be warned.<\/span><\/p>\n

New Orleans\u2019 thriving music scene is what interests most students, as well as the interesting history, and tonnes of food and drink. Which in Bourbon Street is available 24\/7, and drinking on the street is encouraged so why not join in with the culture?<\/span><\/p>\n

10. Las Vegas, USA<\/span><\/h2>\n

Las Vegas is the most glamorous strips of them all, from celebrity-filled pool parties and nightclubs, Vegas is the ultimate party place. If you get a chance try and visit the Grand Canyon, which although is a couple of hours away from Vegas they offer amazing tours which you can\u2019t miss.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

11. Cancun, Mexico<\/span><\/h2>\n

Cancun is the home of American spring breakers, a students playground. It not only has the best nightlife but also the best beaches and sightseeing. You can scuba dive, swim in a cenote, and even zipline in the jungle on one of their various tours, but make sure that is before the unlimited tequila. If you like to drink on the beach, Cancun will be one of your top travel destinations!<\/p>\n

12. Peru, South America<\/span><\/h2>\n

The home of the ancient city Machu Pi<\/span>cchu, and also the Amazon regions, which are must-see sights. Also according to legends it is the home of the sun, so you should definitely expect a good tan at the gorgeous beaches there.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

13. Sydney, Australia<\/span><\/h2>\n

Although I know every student wants to visit the whole of Australia, Sydney is a good place to start with sights such as the Opera House, Sydney Harbour bridge, not to mention the exquisite beaches and national parks. It is the best way to start an Australian journey. Sydney is definitely one of the top travel destinations!<\/span><\/p>\n

14. Auckland, New Zealand<\/span><\/h2>\n

As New Zealand\u2019s largest city, Auckland has a lot of offer including Waiheke Island with its amazing white-sand beaches and tonnes of activities what\u2019s not to love? It is not just the usual city landscape, it has dormant volcanoes, and plenty of places to hike, so don\u2019t forget your walking boots.<\/span><\/p>\n

15. Bali, Indonesia<\/span><\/h2>\n

Bali is home to some of the most beautiful beaches, amazing food, and non-stop adventure. It also has amazing culture, including various local celebrations and traditions. Fingers crossed you are not there for Nyepi (the day of silence) where no one else is allowed to leave their house, not even tourists.<\/span><\/p>\n

16. Phuket, Thailand<\/span><\/h2>\n

Phuket is Thailand\u2019s biggest island with more than thirty beaches to choose from, so maybe just try to narrow it down to the top five. A visit to Phang Nga Bay is a must for the best Instagram shot possible, and of course a visit to see the Big Buddha statue. Phi Phi island is also a must visit maybe for one or two days, as visitors to Thailand usually island hop, so this should definitely be one of your stops.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although it is India\u2019s smallest state it is a thriving tourist attraction, due to its beaches, food, and nightlife, and its relaxed attitude to foreign cultures in comparison to other places in India. Although there is still a lot of cultural history, which you can catch a glimpse of on a rickshaw ride.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

18. Hong Kong, China<\/span><\/h2>\n

Home to the world\u2019s highest bar, the Ritz Carlton\u2019s Ozone bar, and thousands upon thousands of shops, so save up them pennies. It Although it is a bustling city it also has some culturally serene spots including the wisdom path, which will come in handy when you get back to university.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

19. Vietnam<\/span><\/h2>\n

Vietnam has a bit of everything from beautiful beaches to magnificent mountains, amazing food and coffee. It is also one of the oldest cultures in South East Asia so there is a lot to learn and explore, and try your best to talk to the locals, as they are extremely friendly and willing to share their history and experiences with tourists which is why it is one of the top travel destinations!<\/p>\n

20. Cape Town, Africa<\/span><\/h2>\n

One of Africa\u2019s most cosmopolitan cities with spectacular sights such as Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Green point park. As well as amazing beaches and rich cultural history, such as Robben Island where you can explore the apartheid history, and of course a trip to Africa would be nothing without a wildlife safari.
