I\u2019ve very dry lips. Always have, so I\u2019ve gone through my fair share of lip balms. There\u2019s nothing quite as annoying as being stuck out somewhere and realising I\u2019ve left my lip balm at home (or lost it. Most often it\u2019s that I\u2019ve lost it. I cannot remember the last time I went through an entire tub\/tube\/stick of lip balm). At this point I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ve dry lips because I use so much lip balm, or if I genuinely just have dry lips. Regardless, I don\u2019t really fancy doing the whole \u2018not moisturising your lips so that they start producing natural moisture again\u2019- thing, so lip balm it is. Here\u2019re some of my favourite\u00a0best lip balms for chapped lips!<\/p>\n

1. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Intensive Lip Repair<\/a><\/h2>\n

The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour range is a cult classic \u2013 and for a reason. Their Intensive Lip Repair lip balm promises instant relief for super dry, cracked lips. Its ingredients help to strengthen the skin\u2019s natural moisture barrier, meaning that prolonged use will help your lips stay smooth for longer! 2. Lush Lip Service lip balm<\/a><\/h2>\n

Lush lip balms are fantastic for anyone who enjoys a really thick, waxy, formula. I don\u2019t know why but it feels a lot more moisturising on the lips? Their Lip Service lip balm is fantastic for really dry, chapped lips, providing long-term moisture (even in the winter!). It smells of lemons and apricots, too, which is refreshing. 3. Palmer\u2019s Cocoa Butter Lip Balm<\/a><\/h2>\n

Cheap and simple, you can\u2019t really go wrong with this one for dry lips. I\u2019ve been using it for years, and go back to it whenever I lose my lip balm (because let\u2019s face it, no-one ever actually finishes a lip balm, do they?). It\u2019s got SPF15, too \u2013 as someone who has managed to get sunburns on her lips multiple times, this is something I really look for when shopping for lip balms. This is definitely one of the\u00a0best lip balms for chapped lips!<\/p>\n

4. Be Base Lip Solve<\/a><\/h2>\n

On top of helping reduce dryness in lips, this lip balm has been clinically shown to help prevent cold sores, as well as reducing their duration and severity. It\u2019s got shea butter, too, and an SPF of 30 (and a low price tag), making this stuff perfect for really problematic lips.<\/p>\n

5. Burt\u2019s Bees 100% Natural All-Weather SPF15 Moisturising Lip Balm<\/a><\/h2>\n

Another classic \u2013 you can get these in multiple scents (the peppermint one is really nice!), but this one is a good, standard one. It\u2019s water resistant, too (up to 40 minutes), and combined with the SPF means it\u2019s perfect for dry lips during the summer holidays! Shop here through FeelUnique<\/p>\n

6. Eucerin Dry Skin Intensive Lip Balm<\/a><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s not the most aesthetically pleasing lip balm, but it works wonders for extremely dry lips (and is pretty cheap, too) \u2013 it\u2019s recommended for those suffering from eczema or dryness\/irritation caused by medication. The liquorice root in it helps calm down any redness, and the glycerine provides long-term moisture. Shop here:<\/p>\n

7. eos Smooth Active Aloe SPF30 Lip Balm<\/a><\/h2>\n

I love eos \u2013 all their lip balms that I\u2019ve used have been really effective for combatting dryness. This one comes with an SPF of 30, which is insane and perfect for summer (the aloe will help to calm the skin after being in the sun all day, too).<\/p>\n

8. Av\u00e9ne Thermal Cold Lip Cream<\/a><\/h2>\n

This stuff works wonders for dry lips. It\u2019s super liquidy and lightweight, meaning it\u2019ll absorb quickly without leaving your lips coated in the product! This is definitely one of the\u00a0best lip balms for chapped lips!<\/p>\n

9. Erborian Camellia For Lips by Erborian<\/a><\/h2>\n

Technically speaking this is a lip mask rather than a lip balm, but that is what makes this perfect for really dry lips. Use during the day to combat dry patches, and leave on overnight to wake up with super-soft lips!<\/p>\n

10. Blistex Medplus Repairing Lip Balm<\/a><\/h2>\n

I\u2019ve always found Blistex to be one of the best things to use for really, really dry lips \u2013 and this one is a firm favourite! It\u2019s tingly and minty, which can make it slightly uncomfortable to wear, but it leaves your lips really soft, as well as helping to reduce cracking and inflammation. It\u2019s really cheap and available in most supermarkets and chemists, too.<\/p>\n
