I feel like a lot of people may think that you can\u2019t use highlighters with oily skin, or at the very least, you shouldn\u2019t use liquid highlighter with oily skin. I\u2019m here to prove you wrong. I\u2019ve had oily skin for as long as I can remember and I never do my makeup without highlighter. I\u2019m currently going through a liquid highlighter-under-foundation phase. The trick is to use mattifying primers and to powder like your life depends on it (I usually powder before and after foundation, taking extra care with my t-zone). If you have really oily skin, avoid highlighting through your t-zone (nose, forehead, chin) \u2013 keep it to you cheekbones and eyes! Here\u2019re some of our favourite highlighters for oily skin \u2013 we have a mix of liquids and powders!<\/p>\n

The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer<\/a><\/h2>\n

Most of you will have heard about this: The Balm\u2019s cult highlighter popped up quite a few years ago, and has been a beauty guru favourite ever since. This is not<\/u> a subtle highlighter, so use sparingly if you\u2019re going for a more natural look. However, it does stay on all day, making it a perfect highlighter for oily skin.<\/a><\/p>\n

Strobe Cream from MAC<\/a><\/h2>\n

As this is a cream highlighter rather than a liquid, it\u2019s very suitable for oily skin as it sinks into your skin. If you\u2019re concerned about it moving, use it under your foundation (this is what I do) \u2013 by doing so it won\u2019t be sitting on top of your foundation, which can cause it to move around during the day. It gives a beautiful, natural, glowy sheen to the skin!<\/p>\n

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Dim Light 10ml<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n

This is another cult classic and available in multiple shades \u2013 it\u2019s pricey, but as it\u2019s described as giving your skin an Instagram-filter-like glow, it\u2019s definitely worth the money. As it\u2019s a powder, it\u2019s perfect one of the best highlighters for oily skin, too.<\/p>\n

Benefit Dandelion Shy Beam Matte Liquid Highlighter<\/a><\/h2>\n

Of course, if you have incredibly oily skin, liquid is something to avoid. Used sparingly, however, liquid highlighter gives a wonderful, natural glow. This Benefit item is matte, so there\u2019s no chunky glitter or shimmer, making it one of the perfect everyday highlighters for oily skin.<\/p>\n

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed<\/a><\/h2>\n

Becca is known for their highlighters \u2013 their liquid highlighters have been all over the blogosphere for eons. Liquid, however, is not always the best for oily skin. This pressed highlighter adds a beautiful sheen and lasts on day \u2013 just make sure you use a good mattifying primer!<\/p>\n

NYX Strobe Of Genius Highlighting Palette<\/a><\/h2>\n

At this price point, you can\u2019t really go wrong \u2013 the NYX palette has all the shades you\u2019ll need for any highlight, and the powdered form means that it\u2019s perfect for oily skin.<\/p>\n

MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish Highlighter<\/a><\/h2>\n

The hybrid liquid-powder formula means that this will have a natural, glossy, glowy finish without looking too greasy or shiny. It\u2019s super long-wearing too, making it ideal for oily skin.<\/a><\/p>\n
