Following the trajectory of today’s Disney films, Aladdin is a live-action remake of the famous 1992 animated film. Like the original, this family movie centres around the adventures of street-rat Aladdin as he encounters the wise-cracking Genie (played by Will Smith) and the villainous Jafar, while falling in love with the princess Jasmine. Furthermore, like 2017’s Beauty and the Beast and the original movie, Aladdin will also be a musical.
