The Ultimate Travel To-Do List You Should Follow

Deciding where to go and what to do for your next travel to-do list can be difficult, there’s just so much to choose from! The world is full of experiences that you need to see and do before you die, so there’s no time to waste! Here’s the ultimate travel  to-do list that you need to follow.

1. Experience the Northern Lights

Mother Nature’s very own fireworks display is definitely an experience to witness in your life, so there’s surprise that it’s number one on this travel to-do list. Watch multicoloured streaks dance across the sky; purples, reds, blues and greens; conducting a beautiful display unlike anything you’ve seen before. Alaska, Iceland and Finland’s national parks are perfect places to visit for this spectacle, so do some research before you go to make this experience one to remember.

2. Experience the wildlife of the Safari

Surround yourself with the free-spirit of the majestic animal kingdom by going on a Safari adventure. Transport yourself from the bustling everyday world to a world of pure and unrestricted nature. Feel the ground shake beneath you as you watch wildebeest migrate, or sit in awe as you watch giraffe’s feed on the nearby trees. Discover elephants, lions, rhinos and leopards in real life; photos just can’t give this experience justice. There are so many different countries and areas to experience this amazing scene (Tanzania, Kenya, Gambia), so there’s no excuse to not put this on your travel to-do list.

3. Spend a night in a private overwater bungalow

Who doesn’t love a tropical getaway? Make your next tropical holiday even better by spending a night in a private overwater bungalow, suspended over the clear blue waters of the neighbouring beaches. Fiji, the Maldives and Bora Bora all offer this unforgettable experience. Relax while feeling the warmth of the sun and hearing the clear blue waves crash underneath you while you treat yourself to breakfast in bed. Whilst not the most affordable part of this travel to-do list, it’s simply too good to resist.

4. Explore the Great Barrier Reef

Being the largest coral reef system in the world, there’s no surprise that a visit to the Great Barrier Reef is on this travel to-do list. Home to an incredibly diverse range of marine species and colours, there are so many ways to explore the reef that you can choose from. Get up close and personal among the turtles and incredible fish by snorkelling along the reef, soak up the sun while travelling over the reef by glass-bottomed boat or marvel at the view from above by seaplane.

5. Visit the USA; Coast to Coast

Just can’t choose which cities to visit in the US? Why not visit them all in a road trip, from the West coast to the East coast. Start in none other than the Big Apple (New York), stop by Detroit and Chicago, then embark on the life-changing experience of driving along Route 66. On your way to the East coast, be sure to visit and lose yourself in Las Vegas, before ending up sunny Los Angeles. The experience of a road trip is simply unforgettable, and so will be the people you meet along the way. This trip is a must for your travel to-do list, it’s definitely on mine!

6. Revel in bright neon lights of Tokyo

Tokyo is a city that’s out of this world. Explore the immersive culture of the city during the day, but at night is when everything truly comes alive. Your senses will be overloaded by the neon lights and signs that cover every inch of Tokyo’s buildings and streets. Take your tastebuds on a journey with your choice of over 160,000 eateries that fill Tokyo’s streets and laneways (that’s 10 times more than the city of Paris, just so you know!). You will never get bored by walking around Tokyo at night, you’ll feel like you’re in a sci-fi film and who doesn’t want to experience that?
