The Top 10 Things To Do In Cornwall That You Probably Don’t Know About

Cornwall is a very rural place and it’s not typically associated with a busy holiday but there are plenty of things you can do if you are willing to travel! These are the top 10 things to do in Cornwall!

1. Flambards

Flambards is a great amusement park in Helston. It has a few thrill rides, family friendly activities, and some great exhibitions. it is the perfect place for groups, couples, or families to spend a day in Cornwall. It is also in a wonderful area with Porthleven’s harbour just down the road with some fantastic pubs and cafes to get lunch in.

2. Seal Sanctuary

The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is a cute little place in Gweek that looks after sick and debilitated Seals and Sealions. It is also home to a couple of otters, a few penguins and a rockpool filled with aquatic creatures. On a sunny day the grounds are absolutely beautiful, which is why the seal sanctuary is one of the top 10 things to do in Cornwall!

3. Eden Project

The Eden project is a conservation discovery centre. You can learn about renewable energy and helping to protect the planet. It also has England’s longest zip wire if you need more adrenaline in your holiday!

4. Land’s End

The furthest point you can go in England, it has some amazing views and spectacular hikes for you to go on. There are also some brilliant attractions that change seasonally so there are always different things to do.

5. St Michael’s Mount

St Michael’s Mount is an island just off the Cornish coast. Sometimes you can walk there, others you need to get a boat depending on the tides. It is a gorgeous old town with a castle that is definitely worth exploring.

6. Newquay Zoo

Newquay zoo has plenty of animals to keep you amused for a day, it is in a great area and there is lots to do. Newquay is also the best place to stay if you are looking up for a nightlife.

7. Pirates Quest

Pirate’s Quest, Newquay is an immersive walk-through experience which combines talented theatrical actors, special effects, and detailed sets to make you think you are back in the time of pirates.

8. The Lost Garden If Heligan

The estate of the Tremayne family was lost during WW1 when the gardeners went into the trenches and the garden overgrew covering all entrances hiding the grounds until the hurricane in 1990 uncovered them. It is a very romantic place to visit.

9. St Ives

St Ives is a gorgeous town on the coast, where in my opinion you can get the best fish and chips in Cornwall. It is also the best place to get candy rock to take home for your friends and family.

10. Paradise Park

Paradise park is another wildlife park working on conservation of a lot of different animals. Spend time with different tpes of parrots, red pandas, and many other cute little animals!
