The struggle is real, when you have a small room but way too much stuff to fit in. It can be even more difficult when you know that the room you are in is not going to be your permanent stay forever, and that sooner or later, you will have to move out and you have no idea where all your stuff will go. 1. Shelf or hang bags

Storing handbags on shelves can help you organize your room and keep it tidy. So, do this if you can. You can also buy a storage cubby to fix on a wall or on the floor. Another easy and cheap idea is to use clothing hangers and shower hooks. These are perfect because they can be fixed anywhere appropriate in the room and will keep all your bags in order.

2. Keep drawers tidy

The secret to always keep drawers tidy is folding. Try and fold everything neatly, including jumper, t-shirts of even underwear.  Arrange your clothes by category, so that all shirts can go on one side and pants on another. A good trick is to fold bottoms horizontally instead of vertically, to make them easier to sort through. It would also be a great idea to buy some drawer dividers, which are really useful to store and organise small items such as lingerie, belts and socks. 3. Wardrobe cleansing

You can’t keep a room organised if you are keeping stuff that you don’t need. Go through your clothes and get rid of everything that you don’t wear or use anymore. 4. Store items under the bed

Sometimes there are corners we don’t even think about. We forget that spaces like the one under our bed can turn out very useful to organize our stuff and keep the room clean and tidy. You could use this space for old boxes, shoes or luggage. Other non essential stuff like books and old dictionaries can all go under the bed. Some beds come with built-in storage, but if yours doesn’t, make one from repurposed dresser drawers.

Storage ottomans are nice pieces of furniture that will help you organize your stuff and also give a nice and tidy look to your room. If you don’t know where to put all the stuff that you’ve got, then you could invest in storage ottomans. It will surely be worth the money.

6. Footboard storage

The space at the foot of the bed is also another underestimated bit. You can actually save so much space by using this as an additional storage. A chest or ottoman are ideal for storing out-of-season clothes, throws, cushions and blankets.
