Healthy dessert recipes are as good as they sound.  These little treats are just that little bit more nutritious and delicious. With these 10 healthy dessert recipes, you can treat yourself and even trick your friends into eating something they will think is a normal dessert.

1. Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Woe doesn’t love avocado and chocolate? Well, mix them together and you get a beautifully soft and rich healthy chocolate mousse packed with essential vitamins and minerals.

You can use whatever chocolate you like depending on your type! Orange, Mint and dark go a treat and work so well with the creamy avocado.


2. Baked Pears/Apples With Chocolate

Particularly for those cold winter nights, this healthy dessert is as easy as it sounds. Simply place the apple/pear in 1/3 cup of water and put some chocolate in the centre.

Place this beauty in the over for one hour and a half and voila! A beautifully soft and heartwarming dessert to warm up you and your friends if you want to share that is.

3. Choc Banana Nice-Cream

This healthy dessert is a HUGE hit in my house! Particularly in the summertime. Simply blend up frozen bananas in a blender and bam, healthy and absolutely delicious Nice cream!


You can also add your other ingredients such as cacao powder or mango to make it even more scrumptious!

4. Bliss Balls

The bliss balls are great on the go snack to have when you’re feeling low on energy or in need of a pick me up. Simply blend together goji berries and a variety of nuts with a dash of honey making this healthy dessert irresistible! Add some protein if you want to help make those gains.

5. Black Bean Brownies

Before you go “UGH!” which I know many of you would have thought, I can assure you, these brownies are, to die for. They are packed with chocolatey goodness whilst still being incredibly healthy and a super delicious and nutritious healthy dessert.


6. Healthier Apple Pie

By not adding sugar to your pie crust or apple stew, the taste is even more intense with the natural fructose from the apples exploding in your mouth when you bite into it. I can assure you, your friends or yourself will not taste the difference (maybe for the better you might though!).

7. Protein Oat cookies

This recipe is the bee’s knees and is so good for a healthy dessert recipe. Simply grinding up oats and adding some honey, banana, eggs and protein powder, makes these cookies irresistible! Adding chocolate, sultanas, and so much more allows for extra nutrients and flavour bombs!

If you’re a fan of lemon meringue, then this healthy dessert right here is for you. The tangy lemon paired with the sweet blueberry and crusty outer layer melts in your mouth. They are whole and healthy and are definitely, worth every bit(e) of your time!
