10 Easter Crafts You’ll Want To Try This Spring

Easter is a time to get involved in fun activities for just about everyone: for the family, for the children, and for you and your mates. We all know the popular craft activities out there like those egg painting and decorating sessions, but maybe you want to have a hand at something different this year. And why not? Here are some fun and unique crafts that include versatile items like pipe cleaners, pom pom balls and cardboard. These are perfect to try out this holiday period!

1. Pipe Cleaner Bunnies and Carrots

Or just about pipe cleaner anything! Pipe cleaners are really easy to use and don’t require any mess as there is no glue or cuts of paper involved. By all means go crazy with the colours because like any craft activity, there are so many to choose from! You can also go wild with accessories like adding pompom tails or googly eyes. After you make these little characters you can stick them in plant pots, baskets, shelves or hang them up as decorations. Click the image below for instructions.

2. Paper Garlands

You get as creative as your mind can take you with paper garlands. Garlands are not often thought of even though they are one of the easiest Easter crafts to make. All you need is string, paper/ cardboard, coloured pens/paint, and possibly a stapler. Go basic by cutting out and colouring paper eggs. Take it to the next level with more complex shapes like chicks or bunnies. Hang them up in your backyard, your front door and around the house!

3. Bunny headbands

Headbands are a perfect addition for a dress-up outfit or as a party favour. For this one you can simply grab a plastic headband and just add to it! Click the image below for instructions.

4. Little Tissue Chicks

You can use little plastic balls found in game sets etc. to make these. Get a load of yellow paper, some more pipe cleaners, and add some sticky googly eyes. These are really fun to make and double as cute decorations and game characters.

5. Paper Flowers

Try making some Spring flowers that fit in perfectly with Easter like white lilies, tulips and daisies. There is so much variety in crafting flowers. You can try some easy designs or opt for the more difficult ones. That’s of course, if you consider yourself a seasoned professional (cough, cough… we won’t tell if you don’t!). Below is a simple guide to creating some lovely hyacinths! Click the image below for instructions.

6. Origami

Origami is one of the best Easter crafts to get stuck into. The well-known Japanese art of paper folding never fails to create some amazing shapes out of single sheets of paper, so why not try some for Easter? Make some mini bunnies to hold your treats for you. Click the image below for instructions.

7. Peg Eggs

A cute and quirky craft idea, this is sure to win everyone over. This way you can watch chicks hatch as many times as you so wish! Use some wooden laundry pegs, some glue and some paper to cut out your egg and you’re good to go!

8. Easter Wreath

Hang a wreath on your front door for Easter. As probably one of the more complicated and intricate Easter crafts to tackle, it is quite a fulfilling design to make. If you want to keep it simple then just make one out of paper cut-outs. Easter wreaths are not very common, so this is even more reason to try it out!

9. Stick Puppets

Make use of those ice lolly sticks you’ve got leftover and make some character puppets! All you need is paper, ice lolly sticks and pipe cleaners. These babies can be made in under a minute for the simplest of craft makers out there! Click the image below for instructions.

10. Washi Tape Eggs

As one of the least messy Easter crafts to feature on your activities list, all you have to do is stick tape on paper or plastic eggs! Be an artist and go wild with your washi tape colour and pattern selections. Honestly you can’t go wrong.
