Finding the right lip gloss for your look can be difficult and frustrating. It’s either the wrong colour, or the consistency is way too tacky. Or maybe you just want to be creative and save some money. Whatever your reason, we have a solution. So we are cutting out the middle man… Here’s how you can make your own lip gloss in exactly the shade you want it! Your lip gloss will be poppin’ for sure.
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon beeswax
1 tablespoon shea butter
Clean lip balm container
Here are some optional ingredients to go the extra mile and make your own lip gloss even better!
Non-toxic wax crayons in assorted colours
Mica Powder
Essential oil
This recipe to make your own lip gloss is only 4 steps!
1. Melt the oil, beeswax and butter together in a glass bowl.
2. If you are using wax crayons melt this into the mixture as well to add colour to your gloss. Or stir in your mica powder to gain the same effect. The more you add the deeper the colour so add little bits at a time until you get the look you are going for.
3. Stir in two drops of your chosen essential oil to add a taste to your gloss.
4. Pour mixture into clean container and allow to cool.
You can use any clean container you want, so you have options to get as cute and creative as you’d like. You can even create custom labels to show off your homemade makeup skills.
