There’s no need for family meal times to be either incredibly boring or terribly time consuming. Let’s ban the ‘not again’ moan from the kitchen with some new and inspiring dinner recipes that I can guarantee will be a total hit with the whole family. From one-pot wonders to ‘better than takeaway’ creations, these’s something here for everyone.

This one pot dish is sure to be a family favourite! A little spicy, a lot veggie: this meal will definitely boost your 5 a day count as well as tingling your tastebuds. As for the dish washers out there, this meal is a one pot wonder so you’ll be done in no time. Minimum effort, maximum taste – a perfect dinner recipe for the whole family.

Though this dinner recipe boats a large number of ingredients, it’s at least half the price and twice as tasty as the takeaway version. I highly suspect it’s also a little healthier… Personally, this is one of my favourite recipes and is always a big hit with friends and family. You can tell I’m a big fan of Thai food! This dinner recipe will be another big hit. Though it’s a completely vegan dish, you can easily add in some meat or fish if desired.

Both one of the most simple and satisfying meals to make, this dinner recipe will have your whole family fed and full in no time. Who doesn’t love noodles?! This dish is a cheap and cheerful one, making it deliciously budget friendly in the best kind of way.

8. Spinach And Pesto Risotto

For those of you with children who aren’t immediately put off by anything green, this dinner recipe is a winner. Though there are insturctions on how to make your own pea pesto for the dish, substituting it with store bought pesto for (those who don’t want too much hassle) still works perfectly! It’s another vegan dish, however those who eat parmesan can swap that for the nutritional yeast if they prefer (though it’s incredible how little a difference there is taste wise).

9. Salmon And Potato Bake

Similar to a classic fish pie, this dinner recipe is a heartwarming, creamy and easy make. Luckily, it makes enough for a large dish, so you shouldn’t need to worry about making it back in time for seconds!

10. Spaghetti Bolognaise

I couldn’t not have included a classic pasta dish in here! This is, in my opinion, one of the best dinner recipes to make for the whole family. Jamie Oliver’s recipe is one of my favourite’s to follow, however, if you’re wanting to get a little creative – adding a quarter teaspoon of cocoa powder and a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon to your bolognese sauce gives it that little extra ‘Mmm’ factor.
