10 Clubs In Brighton You Need To Go To In Your 20s

Tell anyone you go to the Uni of Brighton or the Uni of Sussex and they’ll no doubt ask you about the nightlife. That’s because Brighton’s reputation for it’s clubbing scene is both famous and well-earned. With over 100 clubs and bars, it can be daunting choosing where to go for your next big night out. Luckily, we’ve picked out the best of the best clubs in Brighton for you!

1. Revolution

One of the best bars in town if you’re celebrating a birthday, as they usually sort you out with great deals on drinks and bestow you with a bottle of bubbly. Below the bar, the basement area is always rammed with people dancing to the sound of Ibiza club bangers, and if it’s a warm summer’s evening the spacious beer garden is the best place to enjoy one of their freshly-made cocktails or shisha.

2. The Arch

The drinks here are cheap, entry is cheaper (or sometimes free) and they sometimes have a bouncy castle at the front. What’s not to love?

3. Coalition

‘Trash Mondays’ at Coalition are the best Monday night you’ll ever spend in a club and have become a staple night out for any Brightonian. The best place for students, as you can always rely on Coalition to bring the tunes, and the club gets bonus points for it’s guest DJ sets and quirky photo booth.

4. Revenge

Brighton’s gay population is one of the largest in the UK, so it makes sense that this gay bar in Brighton is one of the most lively venues in the city. Go for the music, which is always great, and stay for the buzzing atmosphere.

5. Pryzm

Of all the clubs in Brighton, Pryzm is probably the most impressive. With three separate rooms for different genres of music, including R&B in the curve bar, 80’s music in the disco, and house music in the centre, you can find something for everyone here. There’s also classy bars upstairs, loos everywhere so there’s hardly ever queues and hair straighteners in some of them, plus a cash machine inside, Pryzm is a must-go.

6. Shooshh

By day, this club serves food and drink on the beach. But by night, Shooshh is all about the shots and vodka doubles. The club is quite glitzy, so if you’re planning on coming be sure to wear your highest heels and most impressive LBD’s. Book a VIP or Platinum experience for access to different areas of the club and enjoy the super-sexy R&B vibes they have going on in there.

7.  The Haunt

One of Brighton’s indier venues, this club is best for old school, 90’s anthems and funky pop numbers. Put your names on the Facebook wall for discounted entry!

8. Patterns

Patterns usually hosts some of the best DJ’s around, but tickets to these nights sell out fast so get on their website to buy ASAP! One of Brighton’s most popular nights out, Donuts, is often hosted by Patterns so if naughties chart-toppers are what you’re after, then look out for Donuts at Patterns.

9. Boutique

Although small, what Boutique lacks in size it makes up for in Jaeger bombs for a pound, which are guaranteed to set the mood for a great night out. It has karaoke booths upstairs that can be booked out for larger groups, so this is definitely the place to go if you and your friends are in the mood to sing your hearts out.

10. The Font

The Font is a club/pub hybrid, with the best of both worlds. Later in the night, most people can be found dancing in the area in front of the bar downstairs, but if you just want to sit and chill you can find a table upstairs, which overlooks the dancing area.
