Its sometimes hard to find gifts for someone, particularly when you’re tight for money. There are always some lovely markets all around during Christmas time, but it’s hard when you don’t have a lot of money to spend on gifts. Just because you’re scraped for cash, doesn’t mean you can’t give them something amazing this Christmas. Here are some cheap Christmas gift ideas when you’re tight for money.
1. Knit/crochet a scarf
Knitting or crocheting a scarf is a lovely gift to give someone when you have a bit of time and a lot of wool lying around. If you’re know how to, its always a great gift to give someone to help them keep warm during the cold winter weather.
2. Soap
Another great homemade gift idea, particularly if you’re friend loves a certain smell. Some ways to make them are down below. 3. Photos in a frame

I always love hot chocolate, and you can always buy hot chocolate on a stick, but these can be quite pricey. Instead, grab a plastic spoon, dip it into some chocolate, let it freeze and voilà . Add a few of these, plus a few marshmallows and treats and you have a hot chocolate gift, perfect for winter and Christmas.

This lovely idea is such an easy gift to make. You need a certain amount of ingredients to make basic bath salts but you an customise it with your friend’s favourite scents.
9. Room sprays
If you use essential oils, you can use it to make room sprays. Grab an empty bottle, add a few drops of essential oils and fill it up with water.
10. Jar of compliments/inspirational quotes
I always love getting these. If you’re good with writing or with drawing, grab some pens and write some of the things you love about the person. It always lovely to get a compliment from someone but to have them in a lovely little jar reminder you of these things.
