10 Ways To Feel Organised And Together

Our lives can be incredibly hectic these days. With assignments, lectures, part-time jobs and a social life to maintain, it can all feel overwhelming and messy. It’s time to admit that we need help in feeling more organised and together. Becoming organised and maintaining it will make your life easier in the long run. Here are 10 ways to feel organised and together!

1. Make A To-Do List

It’s safe to say that the majority of us struggle, and have a tough time, remembering certain things on a daily basis. If you want to feel instantly more organised and together, put your tasks in writing, or in a digital notebook. Try ‘Evernote’ – a digital notebook app that is perfect to keep notes, make lists and the best thing about it is that it’s incredibly easy to use, and it works amazingly.

2. Make Back-Ups Of Everything

Another simple way to feel more organised and together is by backing up your computer files, and having duplicates made for your car, and for your house keys. Additionally, scan your ID, passport and bank details too, then put and keep all of your documents in a secure folder in your computer.

3. Get A Money Management App

One of the most frustrating downsides about being unorganised is overspending your money on unnecessary items, and then relying on your credit card until payday. You can easily avoid overspending by downloading an app that helps you manage your money, and analyse your spending habits.

4. Recycle And Donate

Another simple way to feel organised and together is by recycling and donating the stuff that you no longer need in your life. This includes books, clothes and accessories. If you haven’t read, worn, or used whatever it is, then you’re probably not going to use it at all. Donate your unwanted, and unused, stuff to a charity of your choice, or sell them to make a bit of money.

5. Practice Putting Things Away Immediately

Feeling disorganised is all too easy if your living space is a mess. Things can pile up quickly without you even realising. Put things away immediately after you’re done using them. This will only take a few minutes, and it’ll save you a lot of cleaning time later on.

6. Unsubscribe From Unread Email Newsletters, Magazines And Other Subscriptions

To instantly feel more relaxed and organised, unsubscribe from newsletters, blogs and other online publications that you haven’t read a single email from in 3 months. While you’re at it, unsubscribe from unread magazines, catalogues and junk mail. The next time you check your email, you’ll instantly feel less anxious about your workload and you can take your time opening the emails that actually interest you.

7. Create Daily, Weekly And Monthly Schedules for Cleaning

Organize your cleaning schedule. Having a cleaning day can be incredibly exhausting, when you plan to clean everything at once. Distribute tasks evenly; for example, dishwashing could be done daily; while vacuuming could be scheduled weekly, and cleaning the windows done monthly.

Download a task management app, so you don’t forget random errands and tasks, to instantly feel organised and together!

9. Create a Weekend Bucket List

Make a list of activities that you want to do, so you can look at this list on boring weekends instead of wasting your time figuring out what to do – or just giving up, and binge-watching a boxset at home.

10. Clean Up Regularly

The best way to remain and feel organized and together is to allocate certain hours of the day for de-cluttering and cleaning up. It doesn’t have to be a large chunk of time either, as 15 to 30 minutes a day is more than enough.
