Art school is filled with Fashion majors. From designers to marketers, fashion makes up a variety of majors within an Art school. Fashion Marketers advertise and market brands and fashion products to customers. The Fashion Marketing students walk through the halls with the latest fashions and designer bags, showcasing their knowledge on the subject and how fashion has become part of their everyday lifestyle. They know every relevant designer. They know the fashion cycle like the back of their hand and follow every trending topic. They know pop culture gossip and discuss runway shows down to every detail. If you are ever looking for fashion inspiration, the halls of an art school are a great place to start, these students know what is to become popular, and what styles are going out with the changing cycles.
The Audio Engineer works with the mechanics of recording, mixing, and producing sounds. The Audio Engineers balance and adjust sounds using equalization and audio effects to ensure the music has the proper sounds whether in a recording or at live productions. When you are attending art school you will notice an entire wing dedicated to mixing and recording studios. You will often find a bunch of audio engineers in one room; discussing, mixing, analyzing until the sounds are just right. You will walk through the halls constantly hearing different beats and mixes, raps and lyrics will continuously be on repeat. These artists can make a beat out of anything, they can rap about everything and can create compelling lyrics resulting from real-life experiences. These artists will continue to create sounds that will inspire musicians for generations to come.
Photography is a very diverse major. In turn, the photographers around our school are very diverse and creative artists. There are nature photographers and photographers who specialize in shooting events. There are fashion photographers who can catch the beauty of a model and the fashion being worn in a fun and convincing way. Some photographers intertwine images to create new ones and photographers capture images through digital forms and ones who utilize lightrooms. Often, their photographic personality takes on the personality and aesthetic of the individual. If they take bring, exciting fashion photographs exclusively, their work will shine through their personality. In return, if they often showcase moody, spellbinding work, their personality often showcases those traits. They fit their niche in many aspects. Photographers all have different niches and skills and are all able to capture their visions and bring them to life. These artists allow us to see the world through their eyes.
Like the Fashion Marketing major, the Fashion Design major is stealth, sophisticated, and daring. They are often dressed in the latest designs or their latest designs. They embrace creativity and individuality. They combine their designs and other local designer’s items with the latest fashions, creating a style that showcases their personal flares and personality. They create garments that showcase beautiful detail and take pride in what they create. Fashion designers know how to properly drape a garment and flatter anyone’s body. They are ingenious when it comes to fabrics and design elements. These will be the fashion designers that create fashions for generations to come.
These artists are creative and technical. Animation designers are quirky, technical geniuses, who end up creating the animations we grow up with and love. Animation and Special Effects designers use film, computers, and other technological devices to create animations, special effects in movies, music, computer games, commercial, and videos. In Art school, these students are constantly learning the newest technology, grasping on to their inner child, and designing the characters they would want to see. They are constantly manipulating and designing the latest special effects for media, twisting and turning the media until they get the effect that they so desire. These artists are a diverse group of individuals who help to liven up our world one video at a time.
This type of artist has not necessarily found their one niche yet. They dabble in photography, take pride in fashion, throw paint around a studio all while creating beats in their head, and engages with artists of all kinds. The all-encompassing artist is tech-savvy and creative. They are individualistic and have a captivating presence. They can discuss multiple art forms in-depth and are constantly intrigued when something new comes along. They regularly find the art in everyday items is inspired by the world around them, continually creating something beautiful.
