No matter where you decide to go to school, there are always certain types of people you will encounter the first week of your college career. From the athletes to the party animals, these are the 10 types of people you will definitely be meeting, if you haven’t already.
1. School Spirit
Every game? They’re there. They might be on student council. They probably know the Alma Mater by heart. You want to know anything about campus at all, you could probably ask them.
They play sports, and all their besties they’ve made during training. Basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, you’ll know them when you see them.
3. The Optimist
Because college is just soooo great, and they’re just soooo excited to be there and make new friends, and learn sooo many new things.
4. The Party Goer
If there’s a party anywhere ever, be it club or hall, they will be there, probably getting drunk off their shit. Every night of every week, they will be out and about.
5. Mr. Ladykiller
Remember in high school when you had that senior or graduated senior, who’d constantly hook up with girls. Same guy, just different setting. Careful with this guy, because he might end up showing you more than your way around campus.
Their major? Their classes? All up for suggestion. This type is very ‘que cera, cera’ about the whole college thing, and will probably end up taking classes or joining clubs just for the hell of it.
7. Timid Tammy/Timmy
They don’t go out, and that’s the end of it. All the college horror stories have gotten to them, so just…no. No parties, no campus events, no people. You might have to work with them to get them out of their shell, but it could be rewarding.
8. Functional Alcoholic
Similar to the typical party goer, this type drinks. But they know how to work around a hangover like a pro, and they’ll never miss a class, or even breakfast, because of a late night.
9. Motivation Zero
You saw them maybe once, and you have no idea where the f*ck they evaporated to. Were they an illusion? Did they even exist? The questions never end, until they show up to class in pyjamas with a blue crayon and a single piece of paper for note-taking.
10. Degree and Go
The complete opposite of Motivation Zero, Degree and Go is playing no games when it comes to their education. You’ll probably find them in their room or the library studying more than anywhere else, and forget going out with them any day except Saturday. They literally just want to get their degree and go.
