It contains curcumin which is a bio-active compound that has many health benefits. You can use it to season food, take supplements, or drink turmeric tea. 1. It has many medicinal properties.
The spice has been used in India for thousands of years as a medicinal herb. The medicinal property that is present in turmeric are called curcuminoids, and the most prominent curcuminoid in turmeric is curcumin. Curcumin has anti-inflammatory properties and lots of antioxidants, which are super beneficial to our health.
2. Turmeric helps to improve brain function.

Another popular way it is used is to make golden milk, which I hadn’t heard of but from I’ve read it is healing. Interestingly, it is also used in American mustard, butter, cheese, popcorn, and other processed foods to color them.
