10 Things Every University Of Arkansas Student Asks Themselves
I think everyone here can agree that the University of Arkansas is one of the best decisions they’ve ever made. However, there are some things everyone seems to question. Whether its your first semester here, or your last, here are ten things every University of Arkansas student asks themselves at least once (if not daily).
1 . How many people sitting in this room are from Texas?
Yeah, probably a lot. You know when you meet new friends and you ask where they’re from? Its probably Texas. When in doubt, your friends are from Texas.
2. I wonder if I have a parking ticket yet?
If you’re parked where you’re not supposed to be, don’t be long. Parking and transit peeps do not mess around. My roommate once got a warning for being parked slightly over the line when she was in the last spot in the row.
3. How can I avoid the big hill today?
You know exactly what I’m talking about. I personally take longer routes to avoid the hills as much as possible. You would think after climbing the massive hill every single day it would get easier right? Wrong. It sucks the same every time. Your calves, however, are looking mighty fine. Plus the freshman 15 is nearly impossible. That’s a bonus right?
4. When is the sun going to set?
Whether it’s viewed from Mt. Sequoyah or the 9th floor of Yocum, there’s nothing quite like a Fayetteville Sunset. They get me every time.
5. Do I smell like Brough?
It took me awhile to figure this one out. This dining hall apparently has a very distinct smell, and you should be careful, because it will linger for the rest of your day. Don’t let that stop you though, I mean who doesn’t love a nice meal at Brough…?
6. L S Who??
Need I say more? If you don’t know this, out of all the things every University of Arkansas student asks themselves, do you even go here?
7. How many squirrels can I talk to today?
The squirrels are everywhere, and they are not afraid! I guarantee not a day goes by that you’ll walk this campus without seeing a squirrel or seven. They just want to be your friend!
8. What are the odds I can find a good table at Mullins today?
Club Mullins is great place to spend time and get some studying done.. when you can find a good spot. If its finals week, you should just give up now and stay away.
9. When are we going to call the hogs?
Finally, one of the most important things every University of Arkansas student asks themselves! Let’s be real, that’s the main reason I’m here. Football games? We call the hogs. Tailgate? We call the hogs. Frat party? We call the hogs. Road trip? We call the hogs. We are Razorbacks, it’s what we do. Woo Pig Sooie!
