10 Of The Cutest Fall Date Ideas To Try With Your Partner

I don’t know about you, but I love being outdoors in the fall! There’s just something about it. It’s like the season of all things comfort and love. It’s also the perfect season and time for you and your significant other to embark on a whole bunch of exciting adventures together. Listed below are a bunch of different fall date ideas and activities that you can do with your partner.

1. Apple Picking

Late through September all the way into October, apples are in season and ready to be picked. Whether you’re about to go on your first date or not, apple picking is a cute and quiet way to spend some quality time with your partner if you’re looking for something that doesn’t involve that many people hanging around. And hey, if things go really well, the two of you could always use those apples to chef up some sort of yummy dessert together afterward.

2. Picnic

One of the things I love the most about fall is the fact that the weather is still neutral. Some days might be on the chilly side but for the most part, all you really need is a sweater and some riding boots. Weather like this would make for a perfect picnic with your partner. This classic date idea is great for you if you’re a foodie and lover of being outdoors. Feel free to take the picnic wherever you’d like too! Examples of great picnic locations include local parks, by the lake or beach, or even in your own backyard.

3. Hike

If you’re an active couple that enjoys working out together frequently, then taking an outdoor hike in the beautiful fall weather would be an ideal date for you. Make sure you pack plenty of snacks and enough water, especially if you plan on making it all the way to the top of the hill together. When you make it to the top, or just enough that you have a decent view, take a break by either eating together, snapping some photos with and of one another, or just talking and enjoying spending that one-on-one time with your person.

4. Movie Marathon

This one falls under the more relaxed of the fall date ideas. Some days, you just feel like staying in, all warm and cozy under the blankets with your partner, flipping through a bunch of movies or binge-watching a new T.V. series you just started together and can’t seem to stop. There’s no problem with that either! Movie marathon dates are simple and intimate, making for a great bonding experience with your partner. Since fall is close, you could even start watching Halloween related movies.

5. Road Trip

We love a nice road trip! Depending on where you are, there could be a lot of things to see close by that only require a few hours of driving. Regardless, road tripping with your partner is a great way to build your relationship and spend time doing something you love together. If you’re feeling daring enough, make it an overnight stay.

6. Candle Making Class

Yes, they exist! A candle-making class is a perfect opportunity to add some more fun and creativity to your relationship, especially if you already enjoy making crafts together. A candle-making class would also be a great memory to make and have together. You can make the candles for each other, your family or friends, or just for yourself.

7. Cider Tasting

Who said dates had to be boring? If you’re not one for apple-picking (listed above), then go apple-cider tasting instead! It will probably feel a bit more sophisticated to you and your partner but just as delicious, if not more.

8. Horseback Riding

Horseback riding is another classic fall activity so why not make it into a cute little date? As you’re riding through the autumn woods together, which is already pretty romantic, you can admire all that nature has to offer. It’s the simplicity of that in and of itself that makes horseback riding a sweet and rather intimate date.

9. Cute Fall Photoshoot

You can never go wrong with a little photo session, am I right? And a couples photoshoot is even better! Take some Instagram-worthy photos together while either outdoors surrounded by the fall foliage or inside with your own personal instant camera. Whichever you pick, remember to have fun with it. You could even print and hang up the photos that you take together around the house.

10. Take A Hayride

Haunted or not, a hayride works perfectly for couples who enjoy autumnal scenery and anything Halloween/fall related. If you decide to go on a haunted hayride together, then this makes for the perfect excuse to snuggle up side-by-side. You might even be able to sneak a blanket on board!

Coming up with things to do with your partner can be hard at times, but we hope these fall date ideas helped. Let us know in the comments below which date idea was your favorite!
