It’s not a maxi, it’s not a mini so, what is it? Midi skirts are just what their name sounds like; it’s a skirt that falls in the middle. It’s longer than a mini skirt but shorter than a maxi skirt. Look out for people wearing them high on their waists. This breezy and effortless look is commonly seen in a leopard print. People are also pairing them with loose shirts tucked into the waistband. This fashion trend is the perfect skirt to for brunch with the gang.
Every year fashion trends compete to find out which is the best thing since sliced bread. This year, the people have rightfully chosen it to be satin/silk. And who can blame them? The lingerie-esque material is having its day in the sun and we are loving it.
People are wearing satin very loosely and reminiscent of the 90s. Right now, satin is worn as flowy skirts, midi slip dresses, and strappy tops. the fabric can be dressed down when paired with cotton tees. Or it can be dressed up by itself with jewellery and heels. The fabric is decadent and when it catches the light, it gives you the most flattering curves.
You might be thinking that hair isn’t technically fashion. We disagree. Fashion trends extend to hair and jewellery. With the widespread knowledge of wigs and hair extensions, people are changing their hair as much as they’re changing their outfits. Hair has become the ultimate accessory that completes any look. Pastel colors were all the rave but neon green hair is having a huge moment right now.
This look is definitely for the bold as it’s a color that cannot be missed! It’s hard to say who started the trend but overnight, everyone was on board. Neon green has found its way atop the head of SZA, Bad Bunny, and Katy Perry to name a few.
It’s 2019. If you don’t have a signature snakeskin item in your wardrobe then consider this a red alert. Everyone is wearing the print as statement pieces. A lot of people will wear a snakeskin pant or dress and then keep the rest of the outfit very minimal. Understandable, as snakeskin is that friend who refuses to be anything less than the life of the party.
A lot of fashion icons are wearing the print in muted colors such as; black and white or a pale nude. This may be because they don’t want anyone to think they’re wearing real snakeskin. We love eco-conscious fashionistas! This print is slithering into our hearts.
Summer is here! This trend is everywhere this year. The strappy sandal. Some call it “the naked shoe”. Either way, it’s a shoe that is mostly about highlighting your feet. It’s a nice alternative to the disastrous clear heels we saw last year. Strappy sandals won’t display feet sweat. This trend is all about the ‘barely there’ look.
These come in all sorts of colors but the most popular one seems to be white. Another great thing about this trend is that all of the heels are only a couple inches high. We personally prefer our feet to not hurt by the end of the day. The low height of the heel also says dressy but not too dressy. It’s a perfect day to night shoe.
