The Best Sneaker Brands For Exercising

Exercising is such an important thing right now, especially with us all stuck in a house. But it’s difficult to exercise when your feet are hurting. There are certain types of sneakers you can wear that will help eliminate all the pain in your feet. The pain might not be fully gone, but it will be a lot better.

I don’t do a lot of exercising, but I have gone through a lot of physical therapy because of my knee. The two sneaker brands I was told were the best were Saucony and Asics, but I have done a lot of research to write this article properly. I have come across a lot of sneakers that I didn’t know existed, so I hope this article helps you find the right sneaker for your exercise needs.

1. Reebok

Reebok sneakers are generally not for working out all that much. But there are two styles that are really good: the Reebok Nano X and the Reebok HIIT TR. The HIIT TR is good for a general workout. It stands for high-intensity interval training, so it’s best at fast-paced and intense workouts. The sole is made of rubber to optimize multi-directional movement. The midfoot support cage and cushioned collar keep your feet locked-in and secure during explosive workouts.

The Reebok Nano X features a wide toe box, minimal drop, and split sole that is simultaneously stable and flexible enough for sprints. It also has a high-density, foam collar that cradles and supports the ankle, decreasing the odds of a twist. It is not ideal for runs longer than sprints, but it is the perfect sneaker for sprints.

2. Puma

Puma sneakers aren’t exactly all that great for exercising, so there’s really only one sneaker that would be good for workouts: Puma Fuse Traning Shoes. It’s a really unique-looking shoe. It has minimal drop and a wide toe for stability. It also has a grippy sole and a heel clip for traction and support during high-intensity moves. The sneaker also has a tough mesh upper that stands up to rope climbs and floor work. The Puma sneaker can be used for any type of workout.

3. Nike

Nike is arguably one of the best sneaker brands for exercising working out and exercising. Any of the types would work for going to the gym, but there’s one type that works the best: Nike Metcon 6. It has a grippy rubber sole and targeted cushioning (firmer in the heel and softer by the toes). It has a wide, flat minimal drop heel with a removable Hyperlift insert that allows you to raise the heel for heavy lifts. It is also all mesh in the toes, which allows for a much more breathable shoe.

4. Adidas

Adidas is one of the sneaker brands for exercising that is also known for the good workouts you can get while wearing them. There is one type in particular that works the best, though: Adidas Powerlift 4. This is mostly a weight-lifting shoe, so if you like to lift weights, this is a good sneaker for you. They are designed for a tight fit, so there is a velcro strap to reinforce the locked-in feeling. The lightweight canvas is tough but light, while the raised heel and rubber sole ensure an incredibly stable base when the weights are calling.

5. Under Armour

Under Armour is also known for being a good fitness sneaker. They have one shoe that is designed for lifting weights, which is their best sneaker: Under Armour TriBase Reign 2. The minimal drop and substantial flat base ensure reliable ground contact and signal its intent to support lifting, not running. The full-rubber sole wraps around the foot to provide additional toughness, while the bigger-than-average heel keeps your foot locked in when you start lifting the weights.

6. Saucony

Saucony is a really good running shoe. There is one shoe that is especially good for running, though: Saucony Triumph ISO 4. They are very lightweight and cushioned all around the inside. These sneakers work for all sorts of running, but they are better for long-distance outdoor runners because the added cushion will protect your joints from lots of harsh impacts. These are really good sneakers for all kinds of running, so if you are a runner, these are the sneakers you should get.

7. APL

Athletic Propulsion Labs have a sneaker that is especially good for gyms. The APL TechLoom Pro is one of the best sneaker brands for exercising for running in the gym. The breathable woven toes of these shoes are reinforced with a foot-hugging sock liner and stretchy attached tongue, while the handy pull tab at the back makes them easy to pull on and off. The heel drop supports squats, reverse lunges, mountain climbers, and even spider planks. The inside is a spongy Propelium midsole.

8. Altra

The Altra training shoes are good for everything in the gym. The Altra Solstice XT is built to help you tackle compound lifts and cardio routines with ease. The dual-purpose sneakers are stable and durable thanks to a foot-friendly toe box and full rubber sole. The abrasion-resistant mesh features a liquid rubber cage to keep your ankles safe during lateral movements. These sneakers are especially good for running and agility-type exercises. They are a really good sneaker brand.

9. Asics

Asics are another example of sneaker brands for exercising that is really good for running, indoors or outdoors. They are great for running because they withstand a lot of wear and tear. They have a cushioned inside that allows you to pound your feet against the ground with minimal damage to your knees. They last for a long time, too, meaning you won’t have to buy a new pair every month, which is always a good thing. These sneakers are very good for all kinds of exercising, too, not just running.

I know there are other types of sneaker brands for exercising that I did not include. If you want to mention your favorite sneaker, feel free to leave a comment!
