The Top 5 Best Self Tanners That Are Better Than Getting A Spray Tan

Self-tanners are a great way to get some color without spending a bunch of money on a spray tan. Most self-tanners you can do at home, and it is totally worth it. I totally sware by self-tanners, they are honestly how I have gotten through college if I wanted a quick tan and didn’t want to break my bank account. Everyone craves that golden, bronze, naturally sunkissed look. But it isn’t always easy to achieve. With this article, we are going to give you the top 5 brands completely worth the buy. Let’s get started on the best self-tanners that are even BETTER than a spray tan!

1. St. Tropez

I absolutely LOVE St. Tropez self-tanner products. I honestly can’t say enough good things about the quality of their self-tanner. This product has been used by tons of people in the U.S, and you’ll get a natural, sunkissed glow that lasts up to 5 days. For the best results, exfoliate before applying in the shower, and apply just before bed. Wear loose shorts and a t-shirt that you don’t mind getting dirty, the residue from the product will stain your clothes/ sheets. There is a little bit of a scent to this, and it can be a bit pricey, but those are the only two downsides. In my opinion, this product is worth every penny. At Sephora or Ulta, this product ranges between $40 and 55.00. I seriously love St. Tropez and I highly recommend it! This product also comes with a glove when you purchase it, so you use the glove for application to your body, so it makes for easy applying with little mess! The next morning, after your self-tanner is FULLY dry, you are going to want to shower just to rinse off the residue. It is completely normal if you see brown coming off of your skin, that is the excess of the product left overnight. You should be left with a perfect glow! I even found a St. Tropez bottle (normally around $40) at TJ Maxx, for around $5. I was stunned. I have been using St. Tropez for years, and I love it. Worth every penny, and I even like their face mists, I have worn the tanning mousse on my face before and it provides great coverage and natural tan! Not to mention, the color naturally fades after 4 or 5 days.

2. Jergens Natural Glow

This product is actually a two in one, being a moisturizer that you can use daily, AND giving you a natural sunkissed glow. The color comes in a subtle way, after a few uses. The color looks natural with no streaks, and you don’t need a glove to apply. I have used this over the summer and I love it! It’s great for summer because our skin is dried out normally in the warmer months. The good news is, this product is about $10.00 at your local drug store! I think this product is my favorite drug store self-tanner. If you even categorize it as a self-tanner, I think it does a great job as a moisturizer, too. Jergens tried to go easy on the strong scent because this product won’t make you feel dizzy with an overwhelming smell. Who can beat the price either?

The product includes a glove to apply, and at Ulta, their price is just $39.00. Ulta also offers a free gift with purchase on its online website. Worth a shot! Self-tanners can be our best friend and a cheap way of getting a spray tan. Take advantage of the free gift promotion, and the amazing product. One bottle will last you at least 2 months! 4. Coco & Eve

You may have seen this advertised on social media, and to be honest, that’s how this product caught my eye. Newly released, Coco & Eve adheres to all those girls out there who’s self-tanner has stained their sheets or smelled up their room. This product is fun, natural, and unfortunately, online only. At about $39.00 on their website, this natural formula is supposed to be heaven in a bottle. This product is supposed to be really gentle on skin, and so many people have already been buying it. If I could find a self-tanner that doesn’t stain, like Coco & Eve claims to, then I’d be one happy girl. Curious to see if this product is worth it! We all love that sunkissed look, and of course, it is going to take a little effort. TOTALLY worth it, though! And who can resist that pretty bottle?
